Aside from basic maintenance and upkeep on the GY6 150 Ruck, what's next? And before delving into this, a couple other thought factors that might be mentioned.. 1) Buy a scoot for wife. Well that's a no-brainer. Problem is I don't have a big enough garage or shed space to store it in during the winter. 2) Buy adventure bike for "next year's trek across America..." Route 66 to PCH and head back East through Montana and the northern states. That's a tall order, and figured I'd take a month off work to do it. Plus I'm back to the dilemma of where to store the bike during off-season. So we'll see. 3) Motard would be... tons of fun
The Ruck is phenomenally stable IMO. There have been many times where I thought it was going down, and it somehow picked itself back up. Front wheel pavement slide, rear wheel pavement slide, hard nasty pot holes, hard braking cuz the person didn't see you, etc etc. It has shivered and shimmied pushing 70mph on long downhills, and struggles to hit 40 on similar long uphills. It's the "ah man can't it at least be doing 55 now." All told, it gets a solid 50 mph or so - tucking in gains another 5 mph, but only after 5 minutes of solid WOT. Drifting a car helps a lot, but you know what the limits are.
Hence the poll. Keep it as-is? That's fine, but what to do with 3-4 months of downtime?! That's precious upgrade time, man!
Cheers, thanks

I built a hefty 8x15' shed a couple years ago to house the lawnmower, snowblower, two mountain bikes, the scooter, and a bunch of spare car/scooter parts. There's another POS shed in the yard that isn't really holding that much, but it's not very big either. Don't really want to build another shed, turning into a campus with my separate garage n all. What I really need to do is move, and then it turns into life decisions! In-town move, or move a few clicks south, such as Smokey Mountains.
I cannot build in my basement because the only way down/up is through the indoor staircase. The winter teardown happens in the front room of my house as it is - bike has stayed inside all winter for the past two seasons.
So right now, "Other" = "New House". Man, resumes are such a pain!

Can you shift a few 'summer' things like the mountain bikes, mower, and spare parts into the POS shed to make space in the big shed?

You mentioned a separate garage. Extending the garage if possible can give you some relatively cheap and highly useable space and doesn't really add to the yard clutter.
You could do the lean-to setup but I think extending the ridgeline is preferable. I would tuck the new roof just under the existing ridge because it hides imperfections better.

Guess I should not have prefaced the poll with the decision factors. At this point i m pretty much of the mindset that I am not doing any more "additions" to the house... need to move to a bigger place, really. My current place is quite rinky-dink, any further additions would not be a return on the investment. Believe me I have thought often about expanding on the house and/or garage, but it's just not worth it. I've got design ideas for my "perfect" house, and that's pretty much what it'll take for me to break ground on any new construction. I'm talking scooter talk, pretty much over the build-new-buildings thing right now, but yes, that does all make sense!

Getting it to do a nice 60mph would be good. Cruise at 50 with the power in reserve if needed. Not sure what kit would best get you that. But a stroker build sounds fun

Definitely out grown this place. Need a lottery win, or some distant relation to leave you some money. 😁
