Hi, I have registered to do the scooter cannon ball run. It’s in July of next year and runs from Maine to California. scootercannonballrun.comAnyone else interested? It’s a 10 day ride. They have waypoints and hotels picked out along the way. I think the biggest issue is how to get your scoot out there and back. Check it out!

I’m either going to run a 2005 Vespa PX 150 or a 2020 Vespa GTS 300 Sei Giorni. Depends how my PX is working. You?

Non-participant, but follow online. Mostly curious about what elements fail . . exhaust mounts are one of the typical gremlins. In a handicap context . . MAY be some Honda Super Cub 125's. So far Honda USA does not offer an accessory rear rack, to mount a supplemental gas container, and Michelin does not offer 17" City Grips.

People are doing it on the cubs, many on the GTS 300 since that comes in at 278cc’s which it under the 280 CC limit. I’m going to get a GYS 300 since riding that, vs a 150 or 125 is like 2-3 hours a day. It might sound great on paper, but on day 3, it kicks in.

Looks like many are running a GTS 300 which comes in at 278cc’s. The rules we’re adjusted to a max of 280ccs to allow them.

That and the Malossi BBK for the 250's came in at that.

300 miles/day on a Ruckus? That would probably end up being about 10 hours/day, with stops for fuel and wayfinding...!

I'd love to do this sometime. Maybe one of these years when I have free time. (now that's funny)
I remember back in I think 2014, kid won it on a Honda elite 110.
Seems un-fun to allow GTS3hundos... but that's just me wanting to see more smaller displacement bikes out crossing the country.

I've been thinking my Scarabeo 150 would be a good option but then I would need the free time and money to do it. I have toyed with driving support for the first attempt to get a better idea of what I'm getting into.

It would be fun (AND I have summers off ) but I looked at the site and saw it's actually 4250 miles in ten days... whoa! I think that it would NOT be fun to try it on a 50cc scoot in that short of a time. That's more like 12-14 hours in the saddle each day... uh, no! Maybe if I had someone else doing it with me... at least I'd have company in my misery. I'll happily follow any/all who participate, however! Looking forward to hearing about the experience!

I heard the difference between a 150 and a 278 (300) is like 2-3 hours a day.
