did some lunch-break tuning:
The Hoca variator had the washer behind it, pinching the drive face closer in hopes of faster speeds. I moved that back with the boss and added .5mm (I think) with 2 shims to it. The belt sat nice and high, all the way up the clutch pulley. Started her up and it was touching the kickstart gear. DANG! I took out one of the washers and got the clearance from the kickstart gear and the belt still looked good on the pulleys.
Had 5.2g slider setup with a mix... was cruising at 8k, full throttle at 9600rpm. I wanted to tame it a little, felt like I was past powerband? Popped in a 6.2g setup and at first I thought it was better. Pulled real hard the first time, now it's just kinda scootin' up to speed with lower RPMs. I think I wanna aim for 5.7g-ish and be done. I did have her going 50mph, sitting up, this morning on my way to work - just at 9600rpms... I'm not used to that. I'll play around with weights tonight after work.

So... Went back down to the 5.2g setup and I was WOT at 10,000 something haha it was screaming and still pulling. I saw the 10k mark for a second and it was dark so I'm not sure where the revs were really but they definitely seemed higher than earlier. Must be from the extra spacer.
Edit: had the speedometer needle past the 50 mark (that's where the speedo ends) and that's the fastest speed yet, I'm thinking 53mph. Remember at 40mph indicated she is at 41mph GPS.
Did a good 25 mile ride, wet roads, and boy is this thing quick. I could lean forward and crack the throttle and spin out taking off! Little burnouts without even hitting the front brake too. Had to be careful in the corners for sure.
I'm just wondering now how awesome this would be to port match it up and get the Hoca stroker+stuffer crank... Dang I can only imagine.

If you want more room for washers, take a look at the spacer for the electric start clutch and gear. I was having the same space issues you are when I put my overdrive variator on. I was able to take a few mm off the spacer, which actually aligned the start clutch and gear to the scooter better. Let me see if I can find that post it been awhile.

So... I'm giving the NextR exhaust to a Buddy (my friend's Genuine Buddy haha) and I'm upgrading to the TRIOPS exhaust. He had the NextR installed, got a little too rad on a BMX dirt jump and it got torn off, broke the flange weld. He'll get mine, and I'll get the better pipe (I think it's gonna be better).
Side-note: crazy Florida man decided to rear-end me at speed last night. Saw him road-raging with another cage and I passed - only to see headlights right at the last minute then *CRASH* my front wheel flies into the air, I land and speedwobble and b-line it to the nearest grassy patch. Jumped a curb and stopped, looked back and he had already u-turned and was taking off like a bat outta Hell. Awesome.
I checked my scoot - NOTHING WAS DAMAGED!! The inner fender was cracked and a side panel that really covered nothing were damaged so those came off. My brand new license plate, installed Friday, was bent and not broken. The exhaust was fine, plastics fine, engine casing/mount was fine, wheel/tire not damaged. I'm shocked that I didn't end up under that car and still rattled to be honest. Like, was he trying to kill me? Did he not see me while angry at the other guy? Angry at the world and I was at the wrong place, wrong time? Crazy...

Dex, be careful riding it for a while. I worry there might be hidden damage that might surface later . sounds like a pretty hard rough knock . glad everything (you) is ok.

Thanks, jloi. I've inspected everything pretty close... the engine case/mounts, frame, it all looks fine. Worst part is the damn tail light lens broke, and those are not available anywhere I may have to get by with the stupid red tape that people use as a temporary fix. The tail light is all LED's that illuminate red - I'm just worried the first rain storm will kill them or short them out.

Dex- on my bicycle I have a publix plastic bag or at times other diff color bags that I tie over my seat and to the frame etc. it serves 2 purposes - 1 it protects the jel seat I bought damaged for a discount ; and it also covers the rear blinking red light I have above rear wheel. you'd be surprised how much the bags wrapping over the light magnifies the red light at nite. if you could find a sort of translucent/red plastic bag and secure it well I bet it would work great for you too.

New exhaust installed. Much easier due to the slip on header allowing me to angle it where I needed. The pipe sticks out and down farther than the NextR but I'm not offroading this scoot so it shouldn't be a big deal. No before shot with the NextR. Sorry. Here's a chamber comparison: I haven't seen an exhaust with orings to help seal the slipons... But I found these and they fit snug in the groove... Another one in the silencer too, but again I suck at getting the pictures. First impressions: slightly louder, MUCH MORE POWER. Like, it revved up the same, that slight hiccup from the CVT engaging too soon but when it grabs and then hits the pipe right there at the same time it just puuuuuuullllllls. I am definitely going to be needing taller gears. Rode around in a parking lot practicing leaning corners, and only 59° I couldn't go too crazy with leaning, the tires are old and hard. But, the power at hand now is just amazing. I'm blown away every time I crack the throttle... And yet there's more...

And here we have the custom hanger bracket... This is the fender brace that was broken when the asshat rear ended me. I just happen to realize the bolt spacing was spot on so I connected everything up. Just gotta snip off that stem and clean it up a lil. Haha it's stable, just sucks these swingarms get in the way of the brackets included.
