Yeah, this pipe is better... much better! Still quiet, Tecnigas makes a good silencer that's for sure. Has a much harder "punch" when it gets on the pipe. I'm looking at taller gears now. Here's a lil video of me riding to work today with sounds samples and obviously the horrible Florida drivers: Sorry, it's an older GoPro 960 haha so the quality isn't the best. The speedometer reads a hair under GPS. (41mph GPS, indicated 40mph). You can see how fast this thing gets up to speed... keep in mind this is a larger 150cc GY6 frame style/body and not a smaller sport style like we normally see. I also had the time to run to WalMart and grab some translucent red tape for the tail light that was busted out by asshat... actually turned out better than I expected! If anybody ever sees the stock tail light lens or assembly, let me know PLEASE! They are the same between the Eton Matrix 50 and 150cc.

Look at your voltage while riding, looks a little low.

Look at your voltage while riding, looks a little low. Yeah, I noticed that. I believe it's ready a volt low at all times, at least. When I installed it I hooked it up backwards and saw a tiny spark... CRAP! It turned right on after install and "works". I still have been too lazy to put my multimeter on it and calibrate it.

the horrible Florida drivers: I really only noticed one crazy #$%^er, and he had a camera strapped to him. The scoot is running great!

Hey, I only put myself in harm's way! haha it definitely is, I absolutely love it! Turning it into a "track" scoot... I'm trying to get closed-course lap races going in big parking lots around industrial areas. Tried it out last night and it was great! Even a nice long stretch for the guys that wanna drag race.

Added a shim to the variator, and it takes off even better! a lot more snappy on launch and RPMs were 10200 coming back to work from my lunch break. I'll try this out, and I'm thinking of going heavier on the sliders to get the rpms down, I have a feeling this pipe makes more power near there but I guess I'll find out!
Had my first issue with the build yesterday too... was going to lunch and got a NASTY vibration/resonance coming from the cylinder area. Still had good power, didn't feel sputtery or anything so I pulled over and idling fine. Strange. Start looking around and found one of the exhaust flange bolts was loose, that's all. The sound was the exhaust leak at 9500 rpms haha it was definitely weird.

So I haven't had a real exhaust bracket on yet, I was using my old rear fender bracket and a zip tie and it allowed the exhaust to bounce around a bit which in turn loosened the mounting nut and bolt creating a crazy vibration. Last night I found a lil flat piece of metal from a RV refrigerator and drilled 3 holes in it... The chamber is so much more stable, and more solid feeling. I was thinking I'd need a thicker piece, but actually this works fine. Now I'll just cut it down to look better and paint it blue or something. Good spot for a 49ccscoot sticker... Side note: after all the tuning I've done, no matter where I put the CVT setup at my max speed is 56mph tucked. She rips off the line really good, flows with traffic effortlessly, such a fun lil scoot!

My best friend, Nik, does the same thing. He had like 2 milk crates given to him FULL of old plates, car/truck and motorcycle. He did fenders, cup holders, brackets, anything he'd think up. I may have offended him because he did mention making me one and now I did this... "this is just your stencil bro"

I found the same thing at the upper limits of cvt tuning max speed tops out mainly because of wind resistance higher rpms just hit the wall of wind even harder. More horsepower would help or a better aerodynamics .

More horsepower would help or a better aerodynamics . I'm thinking stroker crank + taller gears will get me in the 60mph range. I don't necessarily need to do that, so I'm not going to any time soon unless money is easy to come by haha But last night I got my friend's Genuine Buddy with a 70 kit, Tecnigas NextR pipe (my old one), and a pod filter tuned really really good using a clutch that I threw together and my old Polini variator. We used a 660x18 belt instead of my worn 669 belt and it was in deed an AMAZING setup. We were drag racing and he actually beat me! The Buddy was almost identically as fast as me, off the line and as fast as we could go on the roads we were driving on. I actually added like 2.5mm of spacers to the boss to get the belt lower at idle. That guy is so happy now... Now I gotta tune up a little better haha I feel like with my cylinder, pipe and intake setup (he is still stock carb/intake/reeds) and my taller wheels I should have a faster scoot but something just doesn't feel right... pretty sure I need to readjust my carb - I know my float is too high; if idling and I put it on the kickstand she'll sputter and stall (flooding out). We'll see, I'll have all weekend to dial her in (:
