I’m thinking I’ll need 1mm or thereabouts, so I should be able to make them work. Worst comes to worse, I’ll sand them down a bit. I’m assuming they’re steel? Owl-Lou-Mini-Um

Pretty pricey for some thin pieces of metal. I think I'll wait to see how those spacers Brent is sending me will work out first. I may order them afterward just to have on-hand though.

Finally had some time to mess with the Zuma yesterday and the kickstart lever arrived, so I could start it haha.
I'm getting pretty close to having the carb dialed in I think. Still getting a somewhat inconsistent idle, but I'll wait until it's a little more dialed in to worry. The idle has gotten better the closer I get to a good tune otherwise.
My cruising temps are between 180F-200F though. Guessing that still sounds a bit low? I think I'll try swapping from the BR9ES to a BR8ES and see if that helps.
What could be the cause of the low temps? When I tested compression (with my crappy and possibly unreliable compression tester kit), I only got about 130psi. If that's accurate, could that be why my temps are low? It does seem to run pretty strong and have plenty of power. It'll get up to 50mph with no problems.
CVT wise, still waiting on those shims from Brent (USPS has been incredibly unreliable and slow in my area). I did remove the plastic contra spring "seat ring" to try and alleviate any rear pulley binding/travel/opening issues and replaced the yellow with a white spring. It really woke it up and fixed the crazy high revs and slow speeds I was seeing. Revs are around 8-10k on average now and speeds have increased dramatically, so it's somewhat rideable now.
Making progress!

Usually low temps are from being rich if performance seems pretty good. If you like the tune and gas mileage isn't horrible, you may be fine as-is. CVT wise, still waiting on those shims from Brent (USPS has been incredibly unreliable and slow in my area). I was just going to message you and ask about that. Hopefully they show up soon. Mailed 10 days ago, first class mail in an envelope.

10 days isn't outside the realm of normalcy relatively speaking... of all scooter mail coming right now, that's the most valuable lol.

You didn't happen to get a tracking number, did you? It was just sent in a envelope with a stamp, dropped off in a box. If it doesn't show up soon, lemme know and I'll see if I can cut more.
