Here's my first Youtube video with my GoPro and helmet mount. I just got the mount that straps inside the chin area so that I didn't have to permanently attach anything. The video is just my (rushed) ride into work, but I really like the camera. Need a wind muff and a little fine tuning, but this should be awesome for speed runs and my enjoyment. I went with the Hero 4, Thanks 90GTVert! Working on getting the speedo straightened out... As far as the C16 goes, I went on a 120 mile round trip ride yesterday with the new setup and it ran decent, but it was shifting to a lower rpm on the way there and on the way home it was breaking up at full throttle and mid throttle, which I really hope is just a carb tuning issue. I'm wondering if I'm too rich in my mid-throttle and lean on full and starting to foul the plug a bit or something. I'll have to mess with it a bit. I think I need a stiffer contra too because I can definitely feel some belt slip at takeoff. Wondering if my belt had worn and that's why I'm getting the shift at higher speed too. All issues aside, I've hit 65mph GPS, flat, tucked, 3-5mph tailwind and that was only at maybe ~85% throttle because of the tuning issues. I think 70mph+ is on the horizon.

admin Do you use 19x15 sliders with your LFR or do you/have you used 19x15.5?
Asking because the availability of the 15.5 version seems limited.

Wow Ken, I'm impressed. Looks like you've got the zuma running great! You're motivating me to get back to work on mine...
What are your thoughts on the LFR after using it for a while?

Wow Ken, I'm impressed. Looks like you've got the zuma running great! You're motivating me to get back to work on mine... What are your thoughts on the LFR after using it for a while? Thank you! I really like the LFR. To be honest though, the only way I’ve ever ridden my Zuma is with the bike as it is now, aside from swapping exhausts. I really have no baseline comparison of how it performed before and after installation of the LFR. I have a lot of higher end parts on this build and it’s damn near impossible for me to say which parts are responsible for specific performance characteristics. ryanott May be able to give more of a before and after comparison. I can say that it’s been pretty easy to get the CVT in tune though. Acceleration is pretty linear and I haven’t really struggled to get the revs where I want them so far. The only negative comment I have is that I wish the belt sat a little higher in the rear pulley. I’m pretty happy with its performance thus far though, so that’s something I may decide to experiment with later after I have other kinks ironed out on the bike.

dam Kenho21 that c16 sounds so good and that will go like a rocket after you get that bit of fine tuneing done

Could really use some help here...
My scooter has been cutting out at about 11,000 rpm and I cannot figure out why. I thought it was a jetting issue, but I've switched main jets to richer and leaner and that's definitely not it. I've adjusted the needle up and down and tried combos of jets and needle changes and no dice.
It hesitates at about 11k rpm and started doing so on my way back from a 120 mile roundtrip. On the way there it was shifting down to 10,500 rpm at WOT, but wasn't hesitating at all. I'm pretty sure that was CVT related and I just swapped to a yellow contra to address that. On the way back, it started having this hesitating condition.
I can feel the hesitation as very quick losses of power. I can hear it as if the motor is very quickly cutting out and I see the hesitation represented as a drop in rpm on my tach.
Here is my current setup which may or may not be relevant: MJ: 84 Needle: 3/5 PJ: 34 Air screw: ~1.5 turns out
CVT Yellow contra 5 gr rollers
Recent changes: Switched from Yasuni R to Yasuni C16 Switched from BR9ES to BR8ES plug
Again, I've tried every combo of carb tunes I can think of and I really don't think that's it. Not sure what else to try and would really appreciate any advice.
Here's a video where you can see it happen. I can try to get a better one tomorrow, but if you watched closely on the WOT pulls, you'll see the tach bar at the top dropping several hundred rpm when it's gets near the right side of the display.

Fuel flow, fuel vent, iggy limit..Whats the plug look like after a WFO run?

I can do a WOT pull tomorrow and get a pic of the plug, but it's been looking pretty good. Little rich maybe, but not bad at all. The line of the electrode was too close to the tip. That's why I switched from a BR9ES to a BR8ES. Ran much better after that too.
Also, I should mention it has seemed a little harder to start since this started happening, but infrequently and that could be because I was doing some carb tuning. The hard starting seems to have cleared up now really.
The iggy on this thing was in kinda rough shape and I've been debating buying a new one anyway. Maybe I'll just do that.
As far as fuel flow, I have two fuel sources (fuel tank and reserve tank via converted oil tank) and I believe even with both of them flowing I still get the hesitation.
I have a brand stock tube vent running down the rear mudguard as usual...

I have a brand new OEM ignition coil laying around. Should I try that?

Sure, try the coil,do you have another CDI box to test?

I’d go for the coil, cap and wire. You can always swap to something non OEM for the coil. Did you swap to a manual petcock or still the vacuum operated one?
