Im looking for ( cant find ) a quality performance rear torque driver pulley for my Kymco Cobra . I was told a ZX pulley for DIo is supposed to work but cant get any clear answer. I don't want to cut anything or buy a longer belt. But just need a high quality rear torque pulley.

I'm pretty sure if you run the ZX pulley, you should run a ZX belt.

it's commonly referred to as "the ZX trans" by the guys here in Hawaii. they normally convert the EliteS transmission to the ZX belt and rear pulley. the ZX pulley is bigger, thus providing a better low gear as well.

Ohhh. Hmmm. I was told by one seller the outside diameter is the same size as my original pulley. I wouldn't need a new belt then , correct ?
Is it a high quality pulley , who makes it ? I am looking for strong, good round not wonky/ outta round Chinese , good bearing rear pulley ..oh that wont leak grease . Just anything that's good quality and fits my Kymco Cobra.
Thanks.

if the Outside diameter of the ZX is the same as your original pulley, Yes you would not need a new belt. However, what is the point of switching to a ZX pulley of your stock pulley is the same diameter?
as far as quality, I can't say. it's just basically stock replacement parts. it's not something fancy like an over range pulley. it simply looks like a stock pulley. people here swap out the stock Honda Elite S trans to the Honda Elite ZX trans because of the performance gained from a larger rear pulley.
I went to a local shop here and bought a ZX pulley. I was going to try it on my Chinarelli but it did not fit up correctly because of the bearing spacing. the bearings themselves fit onto the minarelli shaft but the spacing/position of the outer bearing would not allow the pulley to slide all the way onto the drive shaft, was trying to see if I could use it as an over range pulley option for the minarelli.

I believe the Kymco Cobra is similar to the Kymco Super Fever, except the Cobra is a horizontal motor? Anyway I think they use the same Kymco torque driver pulley, which is good quality but has curved slots. I recently got one of the TFC torque drivers from Scootertuning.ca It has straight slots and seems to be decent quality, but I see it is out of stock ATM. FYI Racing Planet (the German site, not USA) has Kymco OEM parts, but it is expensive

My stock pulley and there abouts is 15 years old and it went bad a while ago . Have tried cheap Chinese ones all with disasterous results , I learned the stupid hard way beware.
No to raceplanet in some other country, Ive done that before too with disasterous results and not even being from china or asia . And sorry to say scootertuningca has been absoltely clueless in helping me , very disappointed. They claim they know absolutely nothing about Kymcos. I asked if the ZX would fit , the response was they dont know and they dont stock it . What is the TFC torque driver ?
I dont want a bigger one , just equal that is quality.

I provided a link for the TFC in my previous post. The TFC pulley comes up when you pick parts for a Kymco super fever or a Honda elite.

There is something strange going on with the guy I been communicating with over there at scooter tuning CA. His name is Eric. He claims he doesn't know anything about Dios either, besides Kymcos . I said the pulleys are the same as a Dio, he said he had nothing for me and that link you just sent is the pulley is what ive seen as ZX for Dio on other sites. And they apparently have it(edit, it says out of stock, not replaced) , smh.

I know a place that has it but they can not provide me with these definitive answers. Did you have to cut case.? Or use longer belt.?

Just order a stock ZX clutch complete if your worried about the long term durability .
