Thanks a lot guys! Yeah Dex I'm down in Bradenton! You guys are awesome, I got my 47mm valve head from you guys yesterday and only took one day. While on "lunch" here at the city Waterplant where I work as a jagleg mechanic I dremeled into the successfully got access to the original carb that came with the scoot. It's a brand new "gator" gy6 50cc, that really needs to get running before my wife kills me.
The stock carbs needle only has one adjustment, right in the middle, I might gut the crap Amazon carbs needle because it had many different levels. I'm going to get to it this weekend. I got a tach from Amazon yesterday along with my new spark, I made sure to put a little anti-seize on the threads this time 🤣
Dex if your cool ill DM you on here and I'll give you a call, maybe some over the phone help might be considering your local.
I'll keep you guys in the loop, I really appreciate the help!

I am installing a 47mm bbk on a new engine before putting the engine on my scooter. My issue is valve adjustments. The kit came with a new head, and after I installed the cam and rocker, I can't get the adjustment close enough for good clearance. I'm aiming for. 004 on both intake and exhaust, but I run out of threads for the locking nut at about. 007/.008. Just use the old head? Or longer adjustment screw, if they exist?

Is it possible, that you've got 64 mm rockers, when it should be 69mm, or vice versa? The rocker arms must match the valves.

josh, might be a good idea to start a different thread... but I suspect you have incorrect rockers for your cylinder head. If you compare the tops of the valve springs/valve stem to the surface where the cover gasket sits, you should find that they stick up higher just a bit on one head and are a bit lower on the other. If that is the case, you have mismatched rockers/cam followers. They are specific for the different length valve stems. There is no performance benefit either way, unless you have a 'race' engine, between the two valve stem lengths, but you have to have matching rocker arms, or things won't fit nor work. tom
