TGot the piston and rings set and the bore is bolted down finger tight... my plan again is to put this block with stock gears, crank on my white rexy with radiator and pump while I rebuild “(my mhr 77)”can anyone give me a ballpark number for minimum compression on a build like this . I am using stock original piston with two thick chrome rings the gap seems perfect for this bore.

As I Still wait on the fly wheel puller for my other build I wanted to see how easy it would be to get a good spark off of one of my other old build I tapped one of the exhaust threads because it was stripped in there both partially stripped in my opinion the only real downfall to aluminum bores is the exhaust threading but anyways I manage to market up with the old Athena board got it on the frame myself checked for spark in God in it lo and behold I knew the platform meaning minirally And was able to get spark no problem throwing parts together I can't seem to do this with all the parts in the world on my piaggio One day I hope to be as knowledgeable on those engines as AM On jogs.

I'm in the same boat with my Piaggio. Owned quite a few Yamaha scooters, but the typhoon is first none Minarelli. Even removing the restrictions was an adventure. Especially as it's Euro 4.

I had to stop locking my mopeds up by the side of my house and management were being dicks about all my mopeds that I wanted to lock up to my freshly installed crip tonight anchor The to be registered and in working order now I can find a registration for both of them And technically they are both in working order at least they both run, However did you weigh-in what we do is trying to fix something that's not Even broken and make it better. I pops was nice enough to say that I could keep the frame and the engine on the back porch as he is actually on my side now after watching 3 or 4 of my mopeds get stolen from this street. I was actually going to move this one to the street but my dad said no you don't have to. Oh yes so anyways I put on a stock car and got the exhaust is besley sealed as I could not really I didn't even use a gasket but this was just a test as I had it on the frame without a front wheel and wasn't going anywhere with it I actually didn't even have any cable hooked up to the slide but nonetheless I got it to start I'll be it a Not smooth at all idle Could have easily been from the massively jaw city or the incorrect carburation and jetting but I'm really stoked because I forgot to mention this block is actually different then the block that I started this build with this is the block that a God office the rexie I turned into a bottom mount and I have never gotten it to start with any cylinder yet but was successful the The whole part that makes this cool is that the crank in here is AAB Mini stroker crank Heard good things about them they seem rough and tough it's still a low compression crank but adds roughly 2 mm of stroke which I found out can really fucks up the exhaust placement Because of the extra 2 mm from the case seeing as you have to add 2 mm or so of gaskets to Allow clearance otherwise the piston just smacks right into the head with the ministroke , lol just realized my profile name

So I was able to get the Athena evolution boar running at least it would start anyways not much compression however and although it's a mkuni I'm not a fan of stock Carburetors I got in a package yesterday scored on some open Box parts from scootertunning.ca a new bore stage 6 mk2 (single exhaust port) as the one as shown in last pic not only had low compression even with a new ring, but more so the exhausts threading was halfway on one side and all tr way on other stripped of threads. I have tried unsuccessfully to tap in bigger ones that worked ok for a day maybe before giving out. I have a stage 6 street race head with less than 50miles on it i will use with cylinder ill be re using a Athena sport single ring piston . I will obviously be using the block with Taiwan ab ministroker crank brining stroke up to 41.2mm. And i chose to go back to aircooled on this one purposely. Also i loved my polini cp 19 mm for high end sport builds like this , plenty big and still able tp use original intake. However i have always wanted to try dellorto carbs before but never have, needless to say i was perplexed when i saw three jets inside . Even after reading info on this type of carb (dellorto ds 19mm pbhg i think?) Can somone please help clarify what the other jets function is and im asuming that what they are calling the"starter" jet is the one farthest from the main jet and idle is in middle???

You are correct. Remove the round ring from the main jet, they are said to cause lean conditions on occasion. The idle jet is the small one between the two bigger jets, and the starter jet (far left) meters fuel through the choke circuit when you apply choke.

Ya turns out they are 5mm flat head jetsr the the one type of J that I don't have a collection of I always liked 19 mm round slide's for air cooled sport builds , going to have to get jets aswell as choke lever set up, i was reading somewere that these carbs come setup for two or four stroke and apparently since i have a five gram instead of a four gram float thwt the atomizer is also a four poke, is this 100% b.s. or do i haveto change a few other things besides jets, and choke?

They have different model numbers for two and four stroke. I seem to recall that Dellorto don't do a 19mm two stroke carb. Only 20mm. What model did you buy? I know people have changed them from four to two. I'm pretty sure it's the atomizer you change.

I use the 21mm PHGB Dellorto. There is a 2 stroke 19mm. ScooterTuning sells it and I think SSS does too. Here's the link to the product on Dellorto's own website. Scroll down to PHGB carbs. www.dellorto.it/en/products/carburetors/You do not need to use a choke cable with dellorto carbs. If your preference is nobs on the carb they have kits for that.

Check what atomiser is in the 19mm, most seem to come with the AN atomiser, 5g floats etc. Easy enough to change to the AU atomiser and bushing, 4g floats and swap the needle out etc though. I recently ordered one myself, the only one I could find easily that was set up from factory with all the 2t parts was a PHBG19BD from Treatland, the BD means the mix and idle screws are on the opposite side to normal.

Even the Dellorto distributor in the U.K. Does not stock many two stroke carbs now. I guess Dellorto do a massive range. Then it's up to the importer to decide what he wants to carry and supply.
