That was alot of info on building up zumas 2 strokes and 4 strokes that went bye bye. Starting in July of this year the Spam bots just blew up the forum and overloaded it.

Never really spent time there aside from occasions when topics I googled lead me there, but it's a shame to see a couple of large forums disappearing in the last couple of years. TotalRuckus and now ZumaForums. Any good forum has a lot of knowledge within, so aside from being a familiar place to chat you lose years worth of info.

I was never acquainted with Zumaforums while it was up and running really, but have had it come up in a crap ton of google searches with some threads that would've been seemingly extremely helpful since I just bought a Zuma and always bite off more than I can chew on my own. It's a real shame there's not some type of archive or anything like that. Is there any way to make that happen? Can the archives of the site be bought or otherwise distributed in any way?
Aside from the loss of info, it's also sad to see another forum community vanish. I remember being on Kymcoforum about ten years ago and it was thriving. Then when I bought another scooter a year or so ago, checked it out and it's a wasteland with next to no activity. I guess FB took over for the most part? Even this forum, being active relatively speaking in today's society, would be very inactive compared to Scootdawg or something ten years ago.
That being said, hat's off to you Brent for continuing to make this happen and that definitely says something that this is one of the last ones standing and has a really awesome group behind it. You're doing it right and doing it well!

It's a shame to see another big forum go. Never visited the site, but all that help and knowledge is lost. Such a shame. Have seen a lot of forums go over the last ten years. Face book seems to be the main reason. But it could never replace a good forum for knowledge. We are lucky to have someone like Brent. So dedicated to keeping this forum up and running smoothly.

You're doing it right and doing it well! I tried for months to get the archives of TotalRukus and turn them into a wiki or static database, but it went nowhere. I’d suspect Zumaforums would be the same way. Once people are done with that stuff, they really want to move on and not spend anymore emotional energy on the subject. Damn shame to see another community set adrift.

It seems like it’s mostly captures of the forum topic sections, but not many of the actual threads. I’m going to do some more looking around tonight though. I wonder if emailing the old host or admin would get me anywhere as far as getting some kind of more comprehensive archive?
