Either one of your choices are probably SKF bearings.

Any "quality" bearing will do..... and maybe some Locktite (red... stud and bearing mount).
Again: I would contact Hoca.... there may be a matching piston available.

Upgrade your starter cables and keep your battery in good shape. That helps on my stroker 2Ts pushing double the displacement of stock. I also found that some stock starters work better than others. The only way to differentiate them though is to bolt them on and see if they work better though, unless I'm missing something. Yes I worked on another QMB QT-3 today and it has the same guage wire going from the solenoid directly to the starter, no connector. It spins over real fast with my battery in it. (mine goes from solenoid to a connector then a looong smaller gauge wire to starter. therein lies the problem) Nice when taking the motor out but that doesnt happen often. Thanks, I didnt really notice how small and long that wire was until you mentioned it.

The true 100% correct way to stroke any engine is to use matching parts that keep the deck height correct. I have yet to find out if there is a top end produced specifically for this +2.6 crank. I feel using it may require shimming of the cylinder with possible a longer timing chain. I am told that a longer chain would not affect timing. think of extending the swing arm on a motorcycle. A longer chain doesn't make the tire spin faster or slower than before, the only way to change that is the sprockets. Since you aren't changing the number of teeth on either the crank or cam gears, timing is not effected.

this is from another forum: A stock crank has a stroke of 41.5mm the stroker crank has a stroke of 44mm. (44mm-41.5mm)/2=1.25mm. The stroker crank will push the piston out of the top of the cylinder by 1.25mm, unless you do one or more of several things. 1) Raise the position of the wrist pin on the piston. don't know if you will find one of these pistons. 2) Raise the height of the cylinder. By using thicker/ more base gaskets. The timing chain may be to short. 3) Shim the head. Doing this will decrease the compression ratio. Again the timing chain may be to short. 4) Make the rod shorter. The piston skirt may hit the crank without modification.
I am using 2 thick hoca base gaskets in my current engine. I tired 3 just to see how tight things would be and 3 made the chain too short.
Having the top of the piston shaved down might be a viable option. Again on another site discussing the qmb stroker:
i have a 3mm stroker on my 150cc scooter. and of course any type of stroker the rod will be longer. I had to take my piston to the machine shop to get it cut. way way better than putting a spacer in it.

there is no way a 52x44 motor is going to get turned by a stock starter. my starter barely turns my 50x41 motor with its lowered compression. anyone ever seen a high torque QMB starter? what do those euro race scoots use i wonder? maybe this would work? www.thescooterreviewshop.com/SPD/um-31200-4dm-00--80003892-1296505894.jspanyone know the starter specs like bolt spacing etc... Hello Everyone, I'm new to this forum, but have a little experience with the Hoca's Stroker for the qmb. What speedy1125 says about the starter is correct, I have to use the stock starter combined with the kick starter to get it going... My question is can a 150 starter have the front mount taken off and that of a qmb be used ? are the splines the same size and depth ? is the circumference of the starter case the same size and diameter ? Is the shaft that goes into the bendix the same ? Hate to buy one just to see it won't work... I have never seen a 150 starter in person so I really don't know... Any help would be greatly appreciated... Thanks :-)

Hi 1FASTQMB, Hummmmm a bigger battery, makes sense as long as the starter can handle it. If that's the case could we not use a riding mower battery, I found several 12v 12 amp, for between 30 to 50 dollars, that should be enough I think ... As for my 92 main, I did several plug chops and it didn't appear lean, but I have a 95 main, I bought it just to be sure I would have it if needed.. I started with a 38 pilot jet but it flooded my engine enough I could smell gas when I pulled my dipstick. Changed the oil put the original pilot jet back in and all was good. Gears I got from Scrappy, NCY stuff from enviormoto, and Hoca stuff from Parts For Scooters
