What anight and a day, got called by youngest son about 23.30 take him hosp see his mum who had been taken into hosp earlier after being found at home in a colapsed and confused state bit earlier. We got here double quick time after another call speeding through the gales, rain and falling branches but could see when saw the other 2 sons she had gone. Me and eldest went to see her layed out on the gurney blue, cold and lifeless and then he had to go. I waited for police because standard procedure when they have to do an autopsy see what killed her and to confirm who she was as younger sons wanted to remember her how she was and not see the corpse. We split about 16 yrs ago and have always got on and my wife now and 2 step daughters who excepted me as dad, well rather came round one day sat down me and there mum with my boy and said you are now our dad and these reprobates our brothers and all get on, life was not always a bed of rose's but was not a crock of shit either. Our split was due to me being a chronic alcoholic but turned that around 15 yrs ago and not drunk since thanks to AA ( works for some not others ). So over time we had spoke to each other honestly and got rid of our resentments , angers and fears. So no what if's and what might have been lurking which means I can be there for the boys. My only intolerance will be the drama queens that appear out the woodwork but sure I can handle them if needs be. So maybe off line for a bit after today dont worry I is okay .

You're a strong man Milly. Share your feelings with your sons then share good memories.

Sorry for your loss Milly. Sadly, death is a part of life and doesn’t always happen when we plan. Good reminder that we only get one shot at this and to not waste it.
Congrats on 15 years sober (I’ve got 10 myself). Thats the first step toward any kind of happiness and I’ll bet you are more familiar with gratitude than most.

A nice obituary if thats what its called by a friend Magnus, lead guitarist from Hawkwind Some memories of Kaz Marsh. Hard to process grief through fb but our tribe is so split up these days. I'm not sure when we first met but we really got to know each other one Glasto about 25 years ago. We came in in Hamish Berryman's red double decker. We brought a PA so we set it up at the Kazbar, opposite the acoustic stage. Man that was a sketchy week, with Greg, Kendal Bromley, and Lisa. By the time the Tofu's played I had blown up all the amps and speakers so the mixer was going through 2 guitar amps! I stayed up for days and days, she kept me going.. The flyer is for one of the pagan weddings. Milly Marsh was infamous that night! What a line up though. Paddy was really drunk and angry and the Tofu's were terrible! I felt sorry for Chris Tofu that night trying to keep them all together. The picture is of Tragic playing round the fire the next day, Either its a double exposure or that's what it really looked like. The there was the pervy sex night at the Kazbar on Monday at the Exodus festival.Niall Skinner wore a nappy with a tube sticking out of it which he invited people to blow down. He was working for her behind the bar that night as well. So many nights in Bluebell, flirty hugs fluffed off my face. Kaz always told me when she thought I was wrong. She bollocked me for Fluff Zone for being too jazzy and hated the techno remix album. But she still did the puppets for both launches. One Glasto I went to visit her in the afternoon and came back in the evening, Silas was a baby at the time. When I got back Mel Rogers was furious, turns out I had left the day before and completely lost 24 hours! I still don't really know what happened that night but there was vodka involved. So many of these memories are hazy! She used to run sex shops and had a car crash when the car was full of stock, all the amyll nitrate smashed so she was off her head on fumes and surrounded by dildo's as the hunky firemen cut her out of the car! That actually made the News of the World. So many memories. We saw her only a few weeks ago, she had got over a major illness and was looking fantastic, best she had for years. Sending love to her boys. She touched so many people's lives, this post seems so inadequate. Love to all our tribe, so many people will miss her xxx

Thank you all its been quite a hectic week, the next day a friend Ian dropped dead with a heart attack 20 mins later after I got there then another a couple of days ago. aeroxbud. Funeral arranged for last slot in Crem at Aberystwyth so can fit coach in top car park and carry coffin down 11th january to give people time to get from the redondo beach area california, Australia, Europe, New Zealand and get xmas done. Wont know exact cause of death till they checked organs removed except there was puss on the brain which has confused them. We fly back from Portugal on the 10th with some others in tow and then in morning put coffin in side door of Karen's coach and that up to the Crem. Ian's other half is trying to get a slot before ours as a lot of friends knew them both. Then a 3 day wake/party/festival has been arranged straight after the crem. Her ashes will be spread at sea by a few of us curtesy of the chief fire officer of Cardiff whose friend has a decent ocean going boat so weather wont dictate when we can go out on the seas round here as pretty rough this time of year. Ian the Sensible One of us all

It's crazy how these things can happen so suddenly. Nearly three years ago we had my wife's sister, and grandson mum both die of cancer in eight days. Was a rough couple of years. You would of liked Mary. The wife's sister. Was 56 when she died. This is the song she had play at the end of her funeral.
