I am trying to use an old Red Lion DT3D I have to indicate the spindle speed on my mini lathe. I sensor I am using is correctly hooked up and functioning, but I am unable to get the display to read the proper RPM. The issue is that I do not understand how to set up the time base correctly. I am sending the DT3D 1 pulse per rotation of the spindle. Anyone? I bet FrankenMech has used one of these.

I have used a number of those units, unfortunately my math brain has been fried AND I have slept too many times. I think you will figure it out

No need to give up. Are you sure that old unit is functional?
