I am pretty well set for cold weather riding gear except for gloves and a balaclava. I am considering these gloves: www.aerostich.com/cold-weather-gloves.htmlWhat do you have? where did you get them? how do they work out for winter riding? Be safe friends!

These gloves.... www.motorcycle-superstore.com/1/1/37/685/ITEM/Olympia-Sports-4100-WeatherKing-Extra-II-Gloves.aspx?WT.MC_ID=54006&SiteId=10557879-3821802-d3x6pq7zaql1Glove liners. Cheap and they definitely help. Thermal shirt, tshirt, flannel, insulated riding jacket. Throwing a rain coat over all of that can help when it's really cold by blocking wind. Thermal bottoms, jeans, ski pants. Thermal socks over regular socks. Neck warmer, ski mask sometimes, always full face helmet. That stuff is good till some pretty low temps. Even with all of that, I end up hurting trying to take longer rides when it's in the teens and twenties. The hands are what really get me. Heated gloves would be nice, just not sure about them and a scoot's electrical system. Some sound pretty reasonable at just a couple of amps, others have some fairly high figures.

i use pretty much the same things. my hands suffer the most as well. i wont be riding below 32 degrees though. i will be 41 in november and i can tell you that my body does not generate heat like it used to especially my hands

This week the temps dipped to the mid 70's, but windy. I didn't think that temp would be a big deal, but it seems like the wind chill was in the 50's or so and it got cold QUICK at 45 MPH. I'm pretty sure my season just ended. My cold weather riding gear is the keys to my truck.

To me, cold starts in the 50s. That's when I can't ride long comfortably without adding a pair of thermals under my jeans and good gloves. 70 or even 50s-60s in the daytime are great riding weather IMO. I can wear all of my gear like I should all of the time and not sweat my butt off.

I ride for the fun of it and being bundled up in a cocoon just to ride isn't much fun to me. I like to hit it when it's sunny and 80, blue skies, shorts and a T. I don't feel much like I am really "enjoying" it otherwise. Besides, if you drink egg nog, don't you feel like you enjoy egg nog more because you only drink it on the holidays? That's what I want my 2 wheel experience to be like. It's my "summer thing"

I'm comfortable in my gear into the 40-50 degree range. Below that it is cumbersome the way I have to bundle up, but I just gotta get out and ride sometimes. I would probably cry myself to sleep if I had to prep the scoots and put 'em away when winter came and knew I couldn't ride till spring. lol I may not ride a lot when it's cold, but I still gotta ride some. You can have my share of the egg nog, I'll go scoot around and check out some Christmas lights instead. ;D

My cold weather riding gear is the keys to my truck. I have to second that. Once the snow starts those little tires just wouldn't get me out of my driveway :freezing:
