So this is my third post and I’m trying to figure my moped out. It has had issues since the last few weeks and it has a bit under 10K miles. I was told the stator needs replacing, I tried testing the resistance with the multimeter and there was no power (multimeter read 0.01 or 0) I would upload a picture or video if I knew how. Trying to get an understanding of this. Please help! God bless!!

Ah, yes! Image posting!
Thanks. I'll go practice right now.
Sorry I can't help the OP. But I'm not a stator guy. I suppose one day I'll be forced to learn, but......

What do you mean by scooter tag?

If this is still about the scoot that is hard to start, but then runs OK; try testing spark strength before you replace the stator. The stator is working if the engine is running alright once it's going. Could be spark strength is a bit weak and that makes it harder to get going. If the spark strength looks good, then I wouldn't replace the stator just yet on a running scoot. Easy spark strength test is to take an old plug and bend the ground strap all the way back. That makes a large gap. You can also use a spark tester. If the spark will jump a large gap consistently and has a white/blue/violet appearance, it's likely good enough. As I said in the other thread, I would consider a valve adjustment if that hasn't been done. Scoot tag is a forum/riding game : 49ccscoot.proboards.com/thread/26185/scoot-tag-game-2020-champion?page=1
