If you are noticing broken/missing images on the forum, I just wanted to let you know that I'm aware of the problem.

Images hosted on my site (49ccscoot.com) are missing right now. It looks like proboards decided to update to only allow sites with SSL certificates to be used on the forums. They didn't give any notice that I was aware of, so suddenly images just quit working. I've never bothered to do SSL/https on my site because there really shouldn't be much sensitive data transmitted back and forth there. I will be going that route now though. Going to work on it later tonight I hope and maybe images will come back online shortly after that. They say it can take 24 hours. Another bright side may be that if your browser currently shows 49ccscoot.com as unsecure, that may change.

Just wanted to make everyone aware. Also, if you notice that images that you uploaded are suddenly broken; then you may need to switch hosts. I think most of the major image hosts will be fine though.

There's been a general push for information assurance in the stuff I work on, STIGs, Nexxus scans, etc. Yeah, no, not that "Stig." It's not so much about securing your specific data, but to prevent break-ins, hacks, spoofing and other malicious attacks.
