Like, intentionally? Built that way, or a bodge from a PO? Built that way. I knew older 50cc Italian bikes didn't have brake lights because it wasn't required, I figured by 1980 they did, but I guess not. "Very cool" factor!

Another Euro spec thing.... Light switch is three position. Far left is high, far right is low, center is off, even kills the taillight. I can go stealth mode, lol.

Something I did while learning that it has no brake light killed all the lights. :/ Multimeter time. Haven’t found a wiring diagram for it yet, I’m hoping it isn’t too complicated to sort out.

Yay! Only reason the main circuit failed was I accidently unplugged the stator, lol. Now just waiting for those switches so I can make a brake light happen

Ordered a new carb on sunday. Was supposed to be delivered on Thursday. Didn't turn up. Got an email saying they tried to deliver, but nobody home. I don't really order much from racing planet. But when I picked it up from the post office. I guess I never changed my address. As it was to my last place I lived at 3 years ago! Good job nobody was home then.

I did that off eBay a while back, lol. It'd been two addresses since I bought something from there

When I started to tune/learning my variator,i had the sliders in wrong. lost vabout 10 mph and bitched and moaned for a few mins, took it back apart and got it right. Went in the house and cooled off when i came back outside i fired it up without tightening the nut. Parts flew everywhere, about blew a blood vessel. Got a magnet and hunted nut and washer. All self inflicted, those are the worst.

pinkscoot has one of those. You have 2? Not gonna win any races with one but in the sexy catagory they are off the charts!

I'm interested in seeing if the gearbox is the same as either TGB or Derbi.... If so that'll make going fast a bit easier as there are gear options out there. I'm also kind of tempted to keep the better looking one original and swapping a Minarelli or maybe even shifty Vespa engine into the rougher one.
