Scoot picked up today back home and over the garage. I forgot the ratchet straps so had to lie it down but quite scratched up so wont make much difference. Top box is good though. No rust only surface as such. No

Got it running today with spare battery I found and start pack. It would not go through carb proper way so was off it went injected down the inlet tract from airfilter with a plug change and a little easy start to help . Lot of bodgery bits need fixing but that can wait for now.

That's a good deal for a Vespa. Do you think the wiring loom will be the same for the bigger motor? I know on the Piaggio models, it's very similar.

At present aeroxbud I am going to keep it 50cc. All the bits I need have arrived and now I have all the bikes in my garage like ducks in a row due to work layoff till after easter due to virus which I posted about in off topic section. I got it running after changing the manifold for a taller one for carb to clear and petrol tap luckily I had sitting around all new and shiney even the rear lower panel arrived while I was doing it. Got it started on the key but I thought the exhaust was blowing but it was not, a pipe blasting hot air which I presume is part of the emissions system found a unit which is part of it but cannot locate where it gose so will look in the manual in a bit and woek it out deff does not come off the exhaust and nowhere on exhaust is there a pipe to connect it. Maybe a later engine or diff exhaust but should know by the morning and sort out the indicators as well.

for me it's the squatting, sitting , kneeling and GETTING UP. laying down is the least offender for me . for some of the wiring in the front I've been siting in a cushy chair .

I have problems with my new bi-focals not quite same as others so when on the computer I have to put the old one on. Today I did a few chores in the sun then got the scooter out. I turned the key and I put the indicators on and they sort of come up bright and dim to nothing almost on a freshly charged battery which I thought was odd. Fired it up and did the same, according to the Haynes manual the indicator unit is built into the regulator so I was taking off the panels and cleaned up the earth and checked the plug socket, changed a few bulbs which needed doing and realised the position and colour coding in Haynes manual all wrong and decided I did not know what the heckI was doing with brain overload put it away. I may have to find a diff wiring pic somewhere
