Like the subject says I'm about to do my first real build. I've got plenty of experience building and racing cars but other than a bbk on a customers 50 cc no real scooter experience. My scoot is a Bintelli Fury 150 so it's alittle heavy and I'm about 210. Current speed is about 52 gps verified. My goal is 60-65 mph, acceleration about what I have now.
My plan so far is 61 mm slip in bbk and big valve head from NCY Cam ? leaning towards A9 but I'm open to suggestions 26 mm carb from 169cc atv (I have it and it's working) either intake or a spacer to get carb above the engine mount pod filter Vent kit NCY trans kit
or new final gears no idea what to get on this, I don't want to get to big where the engine won't pull it with only 171cc exhaust ? I don't want too loud (I'm kinda over the loud obnoxious phase of my life) So suggestions? Cam gears is anything I listed utter garbage? which trans kit? Looks like they come with 1500 rpm springs, sound about right? Roller weight suggestions?
Money is a issue to a point but.......

Upping the displacement will push you through the wall of wind . Every 10 mph requires almost 50 % more horsepower to overcome wind resistance . 65 mph is going to require a very high degree of tuning .
The beauty of a cvt is you can set it to where the cylinder makes the most power so when you change gear ratio as long as you go up within 20 % of where you are your 0-30 time will be in the same range .
52 for 150 you might be able to pick up 5 miles per hour just getting a sport variator like the ncy simply because it will give you a higher gear ratio .
The compression spring might not even be needed over your current spring until you up the power .

Well I went with the NCY New Generation trans kit, 12g rollers, 14/37 gears, Stock exhaust, stock intake for now, the NCY 61 mm bbk with head and the A9 cam. Removed the pair system. Took it around the block and so far it's running great. Seems to have more acceleration even with the higher gears and top end is higher. Stock gauge read 65 and wasn't done yet (Yes I know it's WAY off). I will get a GPS top end as soon as I get a few miles on it.

Even 10% off at 65 mph puts you at 58 mph You should pick up a couple mph as it breaks in .
Congrats on a Strong Start

GPS speed on flat ground and no wind I saw 63 mph. Not bad at all better than I expected.

Hold off on the big valve head and carb. Higher velocity thru them gives rewards at low and medium rpm. Port matching and smoothing carb to valve helps as does opening up restrictions in air flow to and from the stock airbox.
