So the jonway agility i have still takes a long time to start after replacing carburetor, checking for vacuum leaks, and adjusting valves. It has a brand new air filter. The adjustment screw it's blocked off on carburetor, but figure that doesn't do with starting issues. Can anyone recommend anything else to check? I was wondering if the cdi, or spark plug couldhave something to do with it even though their both new too. Could there 80cc bbk i put in it be why it's like that? I haven't tested the compression after the installation of the bbk. Thanks so much for any advicadvice

If you have added a BBK, then you will almost certainly need to adjust the carburetor, and swap to a larger jet.

it says Jonway Agility if they have the Kymco Agility engine, try to kick start it see if she will fire up, the Kymco Agilities tend to have hard start issue after 4000-5000miles , starter getting tired easy, and the starter gear gets loose.

The Jonway Agility is not related to the Kymco product. It is a somewhat upscale 139QMB type machine, with upgraded wheels and gauges. The engine starts using the byvalve(enrichment) mechanism that opens a passageway from the air-filter side of the carburetor, through to a small well holding fuel, to the intake. The well is filled via a tiny opening to the float bowl. If that is plugged, you won't get any enrichment when the engine is cold, and it will be difficult to start. You can try covering the air intake side of the carb with your hand or another blocking to cause more fuel and less air to be inlet to the engine. If the engine then starts, you know it is short of fuel a bit, making for harder starting. You can also spray in some fuel, with the throttle held open, into the air intake, down the throat of the carb, and then try to start the engine. Again, you are providing more fuel for a cold engine. The enrichment(byvalve) mechanism is 12V Dc operated, and extends a probe as it heats. It is powered ONLY by the running engine stator output of raw DC, so will not change just by having the key in ON position. As it extends, it cuts off the fuel from the small well, making the mixture leaner. I would check valve clearance to insure you don't hold either valve off the seat. tom
