Well in Delaware the Governor decided starting on 8 a.m. Tuesday, all non-essential Delaware businesses will be closed to the public. Of course this is after closing places that have a gathering of ten or more people. I know other states are doing this but... It boggles the mind how many are out of work. Neighbors are out working in their yards, taking walks, and getting things done around the house. I got my Maddog ready for the season. Taking it out for a few test rides as the weather allows. I believe I am stocked up for my family to ride this out, but who knows?
How is it where you live?

I'm not that far from you. I haven't tuned in to any news at all today, but I'm expecting something similar in MD soon. A lot of companies are voluntarily keeping employees away from the office if possible. One friend does networking and phones. Right now he's busy with a whole slew of places getting him to change answering systems because they're closing or not open for walk-in business.

It is good spring is coming so we can break from the cabin fever . I would expect by tomorrow night Wisconsin will follow suit we have been edging there all week .
The simple pleasures mean so much more . I live in the country and I took my son out for his first second amendment target practice with a zombie target.
As we were driving back and seeing no cars on the road at all . We were talking its like a zombie movie .

We have restaurants and pubs and clubs shut down some restaurant's are doing takeaway which is allowed to function. Coffee shops and cafe's closed. Dr surgery are seeing people via video link only kids at school are those of people who work in essential services police nurses and care worker's maybe army kids not sure on that. I bet those kids are miffed with all the others at home till most likely summer. I have been reluctantly doing the garden but have done lots on the scooters and maybe my shed tomorrow. The local dump is closed from today so can't get any free plyboard to replace a panel. Hopefully with dump being closed people won't end up fly tipping in the countryside. Been shopping for my mum and others in isolation from the virus. Police and army are not out yet but who knows.

In my area all schools are close til the 2nd week of April. All Movie/Theatres/Gyms are closed with a good 55-60% of business are either closed til Aprilish or on extremely short hours. Hell I had an appointment to finish my Tattoo last Friday but the shop decided to close for now because 90% of their upcoming clients cancelled. Not to mention that my youngest daughter was going to play baseball this year but that's now up in the air as well (no pun intended)

Oh and some stores are limiting the amount of people in the store at any one time. Do you know how frustrating it is to wait over 45minutes to get into the grocery store?

I haven’t seen so many people off their gadgets and enjoying what’s around them. Our state parks are closed but residential are still open just empty, non essential businesses have been closed since last week, they want us to limit travel even though I drove down to MD this morning. My work is “life essential” so I get to enjoy minimal traffic on the roads, our restaurants are takeout curbside only but the beer distributors are still open. Grocery stores are empty. I saw there is a stimulus check in the works, don’t tell them I’m working still... Daughters sports are canceled, schools closed, beaches closed.
Take this time, get off the gadgets and reconnect with your family.

Considering the situation, everything is normal over here. Stores are open, people are going to work. They did some minor adjustments to avoid many people gathering together at one place, like delay the opening times of certain stores. Supermarkets are less crowded thus make it more comfortable to shop. Toilet paper is available in normal quantities but limited to 1 pack per customer.
Schools were closed a month ago but now spring holidays have started so they would be closed anyways. Downside is that all the young kids meet outside to play which i believe is not ideal but then again children are not that much in danger like elder people.

Something I've noticed around here (S.E. Michigan) is families out taking walks together; people with their dogs too. It's not good with so many folks out of work... but it is not all bad either. The panic hoarding runs at the grocery store have slowed considerably. (around here where I live anyway) But the stores are closing earlier and have special hours for geezers like me to come in at early hours to get groceries after they have restocked and done cleaning. I still don't understand the psychotic need for people to buy boat loads of toilet paper though. (good thing they are putting buying limits on such things now.)
I have declined participation in the madness and have not done the hoarding thing. Traffic is not as bad either, which is kind of odd since the gas has not been this cheap in ages... after a second thought, there are not many places to go to since so much is closed down completely or at least very limited. I (and many many others) will be glad when we get over the hump and things head to a more normal situation.
Hopefully warmer weather will squelch this virus thing... and soon. We have had a few rideable days and some riders have been out on the streets. (A sure sign of spring)... I even got my little red Honda Reflex out of its winter storage yesterday and got it started after a minimum of cranking... Woo Hoo!!! come on spring!!!

My government just declared that ALL non-essential business MUST close for 2 weeks. What the hell do they consider non-essential? The Canadian Unemployment Insurance jumped by 600,000 last week alone due to so many companies and stores Laying off people. Now we are at the point where this BS has gone too far. Why not just declare Marshall Law while we are at it?

I have been sitting at home trying to figure out where to get food when I run out in a couple days. I am 66 with health issues so if I get the virus I am dead. There still seems to be a lot of people out driving around.

Yeah tell me about it. My stepfather hasn't see his father in two weeks as the home that RB lives in isn't letting anybody in no matter what. And what no one is really saying or talking about is that this is a flu that effects those how are older and/or with a bad immune system the most which can be deadly. To everyone else it just makes you sick for a week or so. This is not the Spanish Flu which was deadly to everyone or small pox it's just a flu that effectsca small portion of the population more then others.

People of all ages have been dying, just the older you get the higher the chance of dying. The mortality rate is higher than for the flu. In other words for every 100 cases of this virus more people die than for 100 cases of the flu. It is also highly contagious, not as bad as the measles though. It isn't anything to take lightly.

Just got notice the schools are closed until at least April 6, they have already been out since March 12. We are all also grounded in PA, all non essential travel must me stopped with the “stay at home order” they want everyone to stay in. That goes for 2 weeks. I have a feeling this will be going into summer. You thought the economy had issues in 2008, just wait for this.
