Good find. Add another 20 mirrors and finish modding it.

I think it will be around a while, I also have a spare engine I have had sitting for years for it as well for parts. I have heard the odd ting now and again when starting sounds like the bendix is not moving back quick enough from the variator when starts buts thats nothing complicated and the kick start quadrant slips by now and again but dont expect perfection at the price aeroxbud

milly My ET4 does the same thing when starting and I have been told the kick starters are sh*t, my CVT cover is cracked and the whole thing is pulled out now. It's hard to explain how nice Vespas handle. They are small and nimble. I like the floor board height. When I ride others I never left my feet high enough. They are very well engineered. Working on the engine is both great, if you only need to deal with something on the top. Pulling the spark plug takes some one with a small hand and long fingers. Enjoy it it will be a keeper.

Thank you pinkscoot for that info I shall use bits off my other engine just incase of flat battery at any time but I would like to get a 150cc barrel and piston for it same as the US market and put it on the spare engine but taking time when I can find a kit.

My wife has the same preleader engine in her Aprilia. They are pretty robust. Here has always made a metallic clunk when starting. I think it's just the way some are. They do like a good battery.

I think you could go to he Malossi 190cc barrel. It would give you that much more ump I'm sure its available in your world.

I thought the right side looked slightly duller than the other but not had chance to look proper. Anyhow put petrol in and it spilled down right side wiped with a rag and the paint came off. Looked further and could see that side and front panel had been rattle canned so mate at garage said he would use two pack on it if I rub it down and other side is fine proper paint.

Inspection time today, looks like some welding needed underneath bit crunchy. I do not see any repair sections online unless I have missed them may have to make them up. Hopefully not though.

That's bad. Time for some sheet metal patching. Most people just weld in what it takes to make it solid.
