How do I know where to leave it at ?
Edit: Not sure if it helps but it is a dellorto carb . Also how do I check the size of it ?
Also there is an adjustment screw looking thing like on the carb side at the throttle

The thing that goes up and down in the carb when twisting the throttle is called the ‘slide.’
Then hexagon shaped metal piece that you are pointing too is called a cable adjuster. You can use it to add or take out slack in the cable. A cable with too much slack or a cable that is too long might not open the slide all the way.

The adjustment screw with a black knob on it is for your idle to rev up or down. What you want to achieve is no extra slack when you twist throttle you do not want play in the cable you can eliminate play by tightening the screw coming from the left bottom of throttle handle turn it outward to take away play , turn inward if the cable is not allowing the slide to go down all the way.
