Right on. I was between a CP 19mm and PHBG 19mm when I was building my Zuma, so now I'll have options. I might have to throw this on the Zuma so I can compare the two. I know most of 49ccscoot loves these things. Strip it down when you have time and see what parts are in it, including the needle jet#. I'll take a look soon. Hopefully I can find some jet kits and whatnot. I know these have all sorts of adjustments that can be made.

25 bucks is a steal for a dellorto carb . even if you have to get jets and needles you wont have more than 75 bucks in it total after cleaning

Got it home and this thing looks like it's barely been touched. I opened up the float bowl briefly at the sellers house and it's perfectly clean inside, aside from a little 2T oil.
It is missing the spring and retaining thingy the spring sits on on top of the slide though. I'm sure I can pick that stuff up quite cheap.

So I took all of the jets/atomizers/needle out. I'm not super familiar with PHBG carbs, but I believe the 262AN atomizer is the correct one for 2T's. The 90 main says Polini on it, so someone was trying to tune it at some point. The float spring has no spring to it whatsoever though. I'm talking about the little springy plug thing that dangles from the float before you install it. Is it not supposed to compress at all? If it doesn't, it would seem like the float literally just floats but has no opposing force from the spring.

The slide also has a number on it. Treatland has all the parts you need. Save the trouble and get a “kit” of mains like Polini or Stage6 etc. I’ve found the mains from treatland to be inaccurate. The float just, well floats. No spring sometimes the float needle will have one just depending on which is installed.

a pic would be helpful but i dont believe there is much spring tension needed because gravity pulls the float down when gas is low if i am correct

Okay, that make sense. Was just a little confused because every other carb I’ve ever taken apart has the springy float needle.
Does the needle in the slide get hold in place the same as the stock Mikuni style? With a little seat that rest on top of the needle, but under the spring?
Trying to figure out exactly what parts I’m missing.
I’ll pickup a kit from Treats.

yes exactly but there is a plastic piece that sits at the bottom of needle that the cable locks into and it sits under the spring atleast on my 22mm delorto its that way
