Hi guys after hell finding my parts and finding them in stock in the USA here is what I have for my new scoot scoot. I almost bought a brand new scooter but really love the SYM Jet 50 evo.its a really well built scooter and was $2699.99 new so I figured I love the scooter and I'd rather have a beefed up 2600 dollar scooter then a brand new 1000 dollar scooter. Here is what I'm about to do and I will make a log as I do the work . All opinions and comments welcome . Especially on the exhaust and big bore kit as both ended up being allot more then I planned on spending. I hope the performance is what I paid for . New Project 2015 SYM Jet 50 evo to 72cc beast I hope . LeoVince TT Exhaust www.partsforscooters.com/190-61-LeoVince-TT-Exhaust72cc Malossi Big Kit rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fp%2F16019333629No revlimit adjustable timing DC CDI Box www.amazon.com/dp/B07WHQPJH5/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_IdQ8EbTRMNMBZPrima Roller weight tuning kit www.amazon.com/dp/B00LESCZHS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_0eQ8EbHFN3MM0Also have these parts as well for upgrade : 19mm Carb New NGK SPark plug 2000 rpm clutch springs New wrist pin bearing 12mm New performance air cleaner (not sure if I'm going to use yet) Also got new gaskets for both stock and bigbore head . Will post when parts arrive and while work is being done . Starting with 50cc stock 2015 SYM Jet 50 Evo barely ran 30mph before upgrades . Almost 600 miles on scooter Any comments or opinions? I can tell you it was rough finding parts for this scooter . Will keep you guys Posted .

You Probably wont need the tuning kit just buy weights 1 gram less and 1/2 gram less than stock . The Leo pipe and Malossi cylinder doesnt need much lighter weights than stock. The Malossi and Leo Vince is a Fun Combo . That Combo can rev low 9s for rpms so it is very crank friendly .

Glad you found the parts you need. You have picked the most expensive bike that you can get for Malossi cylinders! They are a great kit though. Will probably last longer than the original. The TT is a good choice. It's taken over as the number one sports pipe for reasonable price. Over here you see them fitted to everything. They work great with not a lot of set-up.

Still odd my Mallossi kit says 72cc. Is that commen ? Or just because I have an odd ball engine ?

It will all depend on the stroke of the standard engine. Most 70 kits have a 47mm bore. If yours has a slightly longer stroke than most. That's the extra capacity.

Ugh .. UPS sucks .everything here all day waiting for UPS still to drop off the cylinder/Piston and head as well as the new CDI with timing adjustments. Yeah I know I'm just being impatient but it does bite when you have plans and have everything out all day to finish the build .7:36 PM now and still says being delivered today . I'm not so sure about that .

Ok after some struggles its Day 2 after getting the cylinder later yesterday. I ran into some problems with the Mallossi kit not fitting and ended up drilling the cylinder bolt holes up a size which was nerve racking and painful as you can see in this photo: photos.app.goo.gl/M5c538GixJJPoYWR8 Here are some photos of the cylinder not fitting by a tiny bit : photos.app.goo.gl/c2vN7pcY2kxB6ELg8And after drilling : photos.app.goo.gl/FeiFSCSULh7fV7nc7And the squish gap which i also was concerned with . photos.app.goo.gl/6A1e98kYzi1DanU97I am hoping the squish gap is correct and im not losing compression but i have never seen the Malossi kit in to see how far up the piston should be. Besides that the scooter is outside running now with the new LeoVince Exhaust also de restricted now .I will probally take it for a run later on this morning and then start tuning it as far as new rollers , carb adjustments and the new CDI so i can adjust the ignition timing a bit. Will let you guys know if it was a success. I am not sure what this kit actually goes to but all ports etc were the same and it started right up and idles fine so hopefully i can run this setup on this odd ball engine of mine. To me it dont look horizontal or Vertical it looks like its in between sorta at an angle.My main concern now is the Squish Gap because if that piston isnt going high enough it seems my only option would be to have the cylinder milled down which will be a huge set back. Anyway i will keep you guys posted with results and differences from before and after . Keep in mind this scooter barely would hit a top speed of 30mph when i bought it and after de restricting the exhaust , changing the carb which the adjustments were blocked off and Variator tuning i got it up to max on flat land 40mph. hoping i can get 50+ after some tuning . we will see. Thanks Guys , you guys are a HUGE help and its appreciated highly . Dave

Do you have some solder, you can do a squish check. You should always do one before final assembly. Once you tighten everything down, the cylinder will sit lower.

UPDATE;
Hi guys , you may have already read in my previous posts that I had trouble with my new 72cc Mallossi kit fitting . The ports were in the right place and everything seemed right except the bolts for the head and cylinder were off a tiny bit making it not fit. The The scooter is a SYM JET 50 EVO with a really odd ball engine, it seems not vertical or horizontal but in between and from what I heard from research is the engine is a suzuki clone . Well I drilled out the cylinder and head bolts 1 size up and it fit. I ran it for roughly an hour and then took it fir a test ride . Mind you when i got this scooter it did barely 30mph top speed. After removing some restrictions i got it up to roughly 40mph tops on flat ground. Now it easily goes past 50 and is way faster and more powerful. Problem I'm working on now is re tuning everything as my powerband don't kick in till 40 mph so I'm just now changing the weights to see a happy medium without losing to much top end . It already has a 19mm carb was 15mm stock , and a variator that does not have the stops at the end of the slides which really makes for a nice top end speed and gets most of the front pulley. I have a scale and a complete roller kit plus the rollers that came with the LeoVince Exhaust which I must say I really love. Even unrestricted nie the exhaust isn't that loud. ok as far as the CDI goes I'm kinda aggravated as I waited over a week to get it and it immediately blew the fuse and didn't work . It's a DC CDI which is what I need with the 6 pin setup and it plugs in perfect so I'm not sure if I need to rewire it or if it's just not going to work on my scoot. (Will make another post about the wiring of it ) not sure if you guys are familiar with the SYM Jet 50 Evo but it's a very well built scooter . It's on the heavier side but is just very well built so I really don't want to buy a new scooter seeing if I fixed this one up I have a $3000 scooter that I'm happy with rather then a brand new $1000 scooter that will always be a 1000 dollar scooter no matter what I do . Even the plastics on the SYM are heavier and much better quality . Well I'll end this post here before it turns into a book and will repost after I get the weights where I want them and will let.you guys know how many grams was just right for my setup . In the mean time in going to post the CDI and see if one of you know if i can rewire it or if it just want work . I wasn't even aware there were different CDI units accept for AC and DC and of course the pin pattern .
Will UPDATE shortly .

Ok Guys i got the scale out and the rollers and dropped down from 45 grams total roller weight to 35 grams. I start pulling the power band now between 15 and 20mph and will climb hills like nothing ,do burnouts and still bury the speedometer at 50mph. haven't used a GPS speedo yet but im guessing around 55mph on the top end . So far very happy with the project and still have some fine tuning to go. I did try my Pod filter and got it to run great with it by opening the jet screw way up but unfortunately the little performance gain is not worth the trouble from the cops as it was extremely loud with the new exhaust and pod filter. The LeoVince itself really wast as loud as i thought it would be and has a very nice sound especially during power band. Well that's it for now . still dealing with the DC wiring on my new CDI , that has me totally lost . Both DC and both the same plugs but the new one blows the fuse and don't start. I will keep you guys updated when i have more. And Photos of the scooter now. I do plan on doing cosmetic work at a later time, paint etc possibly. photos.app.goo.gl/q8ss3G8XZ8AwHuEV7photos.app.goo.gl/2wgxMW1bic82fRRi9Hope you guys like it so far...

Nice work getting her running 50 plus mph Out of the Box is a nice accomplishment. You will pick up a little bit more after the cylinder loosens up in the next 500-1000 miles and as you dial in the CVT better
For tuning your Variator I find the lowest weight that still gives me the best Top speed . This gives me the best acceleration and Top End . When your heavy you get top end but your take off sucks . The Malossi Cylinder Is a really Nice Upgrade it Pairs well with the Leo Vince pipes and will keep you in a very Crank friendly RPM range . They run forever . Just get a Temp Gauge and make sure you jet it so she stays below 350 degrees
