I tried bending it again this time with a torch. I got it red hot and it just wont budge. Its not easy to position this piece to torque it in the proper direction without damaging some other area. At this point I will probably just keep an eye out for this part or swap to the extension kit. Im pretty confident the part is not going to fail on me though lol. We might have bent it slightly?

Im sorry it's been a minute, school has been crazy.
Anyway, I got the Giorno painted. I think it turned out pretty good for having 0 experience with this. I just watched many videos and read all I could about it. I used Rustoleum 2x and I finished off with a 2K clear coat that makes the paint very durable. I have been riding it to school for about a month with no noticible chips or blemishes.
The leg shield and footrest were never painted, the plastic was white from the factory. it seems that the paint I applied did not adhere to these areas as well. or perhaps I just did not sand them well enough. After about 20 total hours sanding I was done. haha. I might buy these parts from a 99' Giorno DX as I have seen them in stock and that model was black.
The last pic shows some of the orange peel and the new sticker.
Not pictured is a cheap alarm I installed that I got from amazon. It has remote start too which is worthless but hilarious. Here is a video:
I think I am done with the Giorno for now. I would still like to fix the bent back end. I will probably do this by buying a dio extension kit at some point when I get some money.
I have started on this next project; A 1987 Suzuki FA50 (Shuttle) Note the "Fiesta Pink" color. This was only sold in 87'. I'm not sure how rare it is but I've only seen a few pics on the internet.
There seems to be a decent amount of parts available for the FA50. Less so in pink. I'm currently looking for a pink front fender. I would also like to replace the "suzuki" sticker on the frame. It is actually a very dark blue. I believe the color code for this bike is 33L, but I haven't been able to find much information.
That's all I have for now!
