Looks like a 50cc dash. The 100cc one goes up to 80mph. You was robbed Milly! On the bright side, easy to get bits for, even second hand. No advisories on the previous MOT tests. So Has been looked after.

Good to know I was assuming it was a choice of 3 either 50cc, a big bore kit fitted or a complete engine change will know more when taken wife out and allowed to play when we get back from Aberystwyth. Unless I wake up silly early again in the morning

Well managed to check out and no fuel leak as such no stain or puddle on floor but need to inspect properly. I found chassis number under front cowling so hopefully can register by phone. If not post it and the long wait. Been 3 months for one recently and still waiting. Morning try a start pack on battery to see if starter working.

I know someone who has been waiting three months too. He imported a bike from Germany. The DVLA seem in no hurry.

Today I started on the Yamaha neos expecting lots of work to do but the gods must be smiling on me for a change. Rear tail light bulb cured the no brake light problem and a indicator bulb sorted them. A booster pack on the battery cured starter not working and horn. Checked it over and off for the mot it went, left it with them till they got time to fit it in. A damn fine result if I say so myself. I did find it a bit smokey on the run to garage so will adjust oil pump unless I find out its been converted to pre mix as only started when I popped a bit of 2 t oil in tank to be safe.

I think you will find the oil pumps none adjustable. It just runs off the crank, no cable. These yamaha scooters do get a bit Smokey if left for long periods. There is no check valve to stop oil slowly getting past the pump.

Thank you for that, I do remember now the kid who owned it never went on the road just round the MOD carpark at Aberporth so cannot go fast so prob just gunked up like you say. I did message him and he used the tank to fill up and not premix, so on the way to the mot was the only time its most likely been over between 10-15 mph max. Will find out tomorrow if I pick it up on way home. Compression feels fine dont need choke to start and that very little movement, think I saw 40 out of it but still wont let you wind throttle open fast as wants to die gotta do it steadily and it picks up.

Well as of today it has a full mot need to sort out the belly pan and reason tester could not start it was flat battery and he had not seen the kick starter Fitted new battery just got to see why it hesitates on the last bit of throttle and bogs otherwise runs fine. Will check choke control as not much movement at handlebar on it and replace couple of panel clips where they used cable ties and put screws in and final bit is seat latch bit stiff need to use pliers on key in ignition to turn to open. I want it tip top if going to sell it.
