Having problems and might be Looking to replace my carburetor. Here's why: I replaced diaphragm after discovering loads of old milky fuel stuck in the entire fuel system. I cleaned the carburetor but I think it's possibly done for.
-Diaphragm replacement is for a gy6 and is the same shape and size It will not pull fuel to the carb when I try to start it. -I'm kick starting it, not electric starting. -There is compression and spark -I changed the fuel lines to clear ones, so I could see the fuel going through. It had black lines -Fuel is not coming out of the diaphragm output line -The replaced fuel line for the other connection on top of the carb isn't as tight as the old one Any help is appreciated

I would order a new carburetor they are fairly inexpensive on e bay by the time you buy another diaphragm and find out it was not just the diaphragm that needed replacing you are gonna say i wish i bought a new carburetor..

Basically the search results vary in shape and size and some of them look completely wrong. I've tried using keeway venus carburetor, Venus carburetor, Venus 50cc carburetor, 2006 Venus 50cc carburetor.

I am just a bit confused carbs have only a few moving parts that rarely wear out?it may be gunged up beyond cleaning but you mention a loose ish connection, that's not OK these engines won,t tolerate any leaks either in or out Geoff

I hope that carburetor suggestion works. It looks mostly the same. The original carburetor was something I was hoping to keep going, as it is a Mikuni and I know those to be pretty nice on Yamaha mopeds. Minarelli will have to do. The whole fuel system look like somebody filled it with Elmer's Glue because of how long it sat without fuel stabilizer or being used. The original diaphragm I'm pretty sure calcified in place. That's why I bought a replacement diaphragm. I'm going to try and tighten that top connection or just put the original black hose back on. If that doesn't work I'm going to swear at the Venus, then order that carb.

Those ultra sonic cleaners appear to work very well. I must say would feel inclined to recommend these ultra sonic cleaners "Some not all" to someone in the the case of hard to reach spaces in a carburetor or other metal objects with tight orifices.

After some trial and error situations. I was trying to pull fuel through my new diaphragm and old diaphragm. Old diaphragm allows some air Passage, it has white dust falling out but no fuel is coming through anywhere so I'm pretty sure that one's plugged shut. The new one doesn't have the same issue it just has a full seal and nothing's going through it at all. I'm trying to force it through by hand, siphon and breath.
