Ok so here it goes. I have a 2016 Roughhouse 50. I did all the upgrades I could do and All I needed was gearing. But I got bored and decided I wanted to put in a mini stroker crank. Had to shave casing a little bit but it fit. Put block back together and compression is good. But the Conrods for this stroker are bigger the my stock crank so all the gear I have don’t fit which is cool more excuses to buy parts. But when it comes to the mag and stator I just can’t figure it out. So I can’t use my stock mag because it don’t fit all the way down the crank. So I try other stators but then that means the mags got to change. Long story short ain’t got spark so my question is how do I get any other stator and mag to work and be the right timing?

There are large and small taper cranks. The strokers are mostly large taper as are many 1E40QMB engines. The genuine Yamaha stuff is mostly small taper and so are some of the 1E40QMBs. You should be able to get a flywheel for the large taper crank and use either what you have already or a replacement stator for the 1E40QMB engines. Not sure if the current stator will work as I'm not sure if Genuine does anything different there. Just measure the ID and depth of the flywheel you have and compare to the others. If it's the same, most likely you're fine with the stator that you have.
