For obvious reasons, I don't sleep much right now. So, last night I decided to walk to the shop, and get the Beaten Beamer out of dry dock.
I grabbed a cheapo DMM and started chasing circuits. The damned tail light wire had worn a pin head sized spot of insulation off and was arcing on the frame. Fixed the wire, and suddenly no more smoke from the harness when the battery is hooked up. I figured since it's not trying to commit suicide by way of flame, I'd give her a kick or two to check for spark. It fired. Replaced the plug cap,and kicked her twice. She fired up and we rode away.
Wound up putting a 105 main jet in the factory Miki carb, and it's great. Til it's not. Feels like one of two things, either it's randomly soft seizing momentarilly, or it's running the bowl dry intermittently. Either way, it's not good. No leaks for air to get in. Not sure wtf is going g on. Looking g for float height specs for the little Miki now.
Mother has been moved to a liquid diet with all of her meds changed to liquid as well. Not good. Idk what I'm doing. I try to stay busy. I do. Still end up in my head. A lot. It's scary in here. Dark too. And there's this funny smell....
