Ive been looking around for a new pipe, and scooterworks has this one for a 150. It says low mounting, but looks like the same mounting bracket as my modified factory pipe. My modified factory pipe has a knocked loose baffle on the inside, and three holes drilled in the back. It gives a nice rumbly sound, the air bouncing around and rumbling in the chamber and whatnot. I love it, and i think this pipe will be a good replacement. However, I cant find any reviews on Scooterworks or any other site. I have a feeling this is a stock pipe, in which case I'd just buy another Powermax pipe and modify it. Has anyone bought it? If its not a stock pipe, does it have a good burbly dirt bike sound to it, or is it an annoying loud Amazon straight pipe sound? Here's the SW pipe: www.scooterworks.com/Scooterworks-Low-Mount-Exhaust-GY6-P12598.aspxOn the other hand, I noticed this pipe by monsterscooter parts by NCY. Its performance, but it lists as having a removable baffle. www.monsterscooterparts.com/performance-exhaust-pipe-genuine-buddy-125-buddy-150-ncy.html?gclid=CjwKCAjw0_T4BRBlEiwAwoEiAZWlibY_tE4ap4tyaxdsn7HPHkXaXYL0f6zftnEa6XwxiG3EcSEwORoCrEYQAvD_BwEAre these two the same pipe? Different? Does anyone know? On the off chance that anyone has the Scooterworks pipe, a sound clip would be nice. Thanks!

Buy the one that is cheapest and in stock .
Alot of pipes are made by a handful of vendors then just rebadged gianelli makes some malossi and polini pipes for example .
Being that ncy and pgo both come from taiwain and pgo scooters are just rebadged genuine scooters .
Matt from parts for scooters pointed out awhile back that aftermarket taiwan scooter parts come from 3 vendors then just rebadged.

I agree with the above mostly. I would add to contact ScooterWorks and see what they can tell you about the exhaust. Ask about a removable baffle. The pics make them look very close, though the badge and the outlets are slightly different. Could very well be the same thing with a couple of cosmetic changes and could be a redesign. It's hard to know because so much stuff gets listed with catchwords like performance or racing simply to boost sales.

My stock pipe only has the big rumbly sound due to the three holes drilled in the back. I guess it lets you hear the air rumbling around in the pipe? Im not sure, but if i did get one and needed that sound, i dont wanna drill holes in a 200 dollar exhaust 😂

Looks like a nice exhaust pipe. I agree. If it's a direct fit I'd pick the lowest price.

They're most likely the same pipe. Scooterworks is the exclusive importer of NCY branded product in the United States. If someone in the US (Monster for example) is selling NCY, it's ultimately coming out of Scooterwork's warehouse first.
So even if they're not the same pipe, call SW, and let them sort it out for you.

After a few calls, I found that its got no removable baffle (which sucks), but i don't think the NCY pipe would fit. From what I see, the Buddys are short cases with 10 inch tires, so the pipe mounts to the engine case instead of to a swingarm hole. Not sure if it would work, but i think im just gonna shoot for the SW pipe. Don't think itll have the annoying chopper sound most straight pipes off Amazon and Ebay have. My Vino 125 is straight piped and it makes me wanna beat it with a hammer and apologize to my neighbors every time I fire it up. Oh how did a young me ever think that was cool? 😂😂
