Yup, big freezer w/ plenty of space also. Did some research and think i'll assemble the one side w/ Permatex Sleeve Retainer just to be on the safe side.

It's used for cylinder sleeves, but can be used for any press/slip fitted components that don't see over 400*F. www.permatex.com/products/thread-compounds/retaining-compounds/permatex-high-temperature-sleeve-retainer/
I came across a thread on mopedarmy about bearing splooge to help keep bearings tight in the case figure they were talking about this stuff. Supposed to add up to 3000psi of holding force, so I think that'll eliminate any chance of spinning a bearing in the case.

Got the case all painted.

Doing final touch ups on the CVT cover, exhaust bracket + hardware, and kickstart lever.

Also got the bearings on the crank.

Back together. Not looking forward to doing the second case. Stressful!!! Took my feeler gauge to it, have 0.028"/0.711mm on stator side and 0.035"/0.889mm CVT side. Figure that's close enough to center?

If not sometimes you might need a light tap to centre the crank.

All I got left to do is a leak test, find something to go in the stock airbox that'll fit into a 1 1/2" hose then slap on carb and exhaust. Excited to get this thing back on the road before the season is over. Also need to paint the old kickstart lever the new one is looking a little wonky.
