You might have a little to pick up in the cvt Make sure you are getting full travel on the variator . Less than 3mm on stock variator is the goal Proper shimming will clean up belt slap give better top end and take off. They are cheap naraku makes some . Some clutch springs that are a notch stiffer than stock medium or hard will make your launch better .

Little side by side comparison. FLY with 5.9g rollers, Z with 4.3g rollers. Same road, same landmark distance. The Z starts out slower as it did lose a little of the very bottom end and badly needs stiffer clutch springs. But quickly catches up and really pulls on the top end. About 2 seconds faster covering the same distance.

Nice side by side comparison. I really need to have my daughter show me how to do that on you tube.
A proper pipe really wakes these scoots up . You will pick up even more take off when you add the clutch springs .

Wow what a difference new tires makes! Rides sooooo much smoother, handles much better with more confidence turning. Also painted the wheels metallic silver rattle can. Also took off the mud flap.

Those wheels really pop now. 👍 What tyres did you go for? They really can make a big difference.

Yessir I wanted to break up the all black party with some contrast, luggage rack matches as it will get repainted with same color to fix the wear and tear. Went with the Michelin boppers. I can't believe the ride quality improvement. Of course 11+ year old tires were a little brittle and stiff. LOL

So Scootertuning.ca still doesn't have the Naraku kit. They contacted me and offered to upgrade no extra charge to the DR evolution 70 kit since waiting longer than they promised. I'm guessing it's a pretty decent kit as well. Supposed to ship today so be here early next week. Hopefully it's still more on the "sport" side of things and makes good power without needing to scream big rpm.

Wow Scootertuning.ca is legit. Not only did they upgrade at no charge for the trouble, but shipped express and it will be here tomorrow! Come on this weekend! Tomorrow will prob go over the cylinder and see what it needs for smoothing port work, then the weekend test fitting and whatnot. But first thing upon the shipment is the clutch springs I've been waiting on, hopefully let the Z shine out of the hole. Some testing in order tomorrow evening.
Upon further research DR is an offshoot and made by Top Performance.

Nice result. It should get you a bit more performance too. Nearer the Malossi/Polini sport cylinder than the Naraku. I think peak power is about 9,000 RPM.

The DR is a nice cylinder . Polini sport and Malossi sport are very good comparisons . You are correct it is made by Top Performance and is just a little tamer than the Top Performance Trophy.
Top Performance is the performance division of the minarelli motor .

70cc complete. Another lesson in the big bore game. Get a tach when you’re on the stock crank. 55mph/10K rpm comes with ease.
