Each manufacturer is slightly different. But they are normally around 15%, 35%, and 50% more in tension. As they get stiffer.

Might do white with the swivel seat as well then.

Pulled the trigger on a white Malossi contra, Malossi spring seat, Malossi x special belt, Polini 17 pwk/cp, main jet set, choke cable, single throttle cable conversion kit.
Next week when it all arrives I'll start with the contra, belt, and spring seat to see if that resolves the vibe/noise. Then after testing the drivetrain changes swap the carb and work on tuning, especially now with the weather changing anyways.
I went with 80-98 main jet set. Hope I don't regret it and have to get the 100-118.... Sucks being right on the borderline of jet size, but polini jets may respond differently than what's in there now.

Well the contra, contra seat, and belt did nothing for the vibration. Literally nothing changed.... Then after that ride I changed the rollers from 4.3 to 4 gram set. That made a nice difference. After the takeoff bog(might need a little more clutch spring, currently goes to about 6,000 out of the hole) then it runs to and hovers around 9,300 until about 50 then tops out full travel and climbs to 10,000 at 55+. Tomorrow/this weekend work on the carb, throttle cable, and choke setup.

Slight change of plans. Started putting the carb together, scootertuning must’ve decided I don’t need the main jet kit.......eeerrrgghhhhh! Twice now they’ve left something out. I’ll prob start swapping the throttle cable and routing/mounting the choke tho. Just won’t get it running this weekend.
Side note the needle will be a royal pita to tune. Getting the return spring and clip out to release the cable end to get the needle out is quite the need small fingers task.

Scootertuning is on the ball getting me the jet set quickly. Shipping out today FedEx rushed. I'll know later today if that means here tomorrow, or early next week.
They are very good at righting wrongs, and that goes a long ways. Mistakes happen.

Got the jets today! Got some tuning to do...... need to order a bigger pilot(38 now). Have to run only 1/2 out on the air screw or else idle hangs and off idle throttle stutters and hesitates. Need to richen needle clip(which is a major pita) as it hesitates and stutters part throttle almost to the point if you don’t go off throttle or wot it would prob die. Main jet too rich(started with 96) lost top speed, and only runs 270 on 2 mile blast.
Sucks to order pilot jet set as it’s so cheap and I don’t need anything else, and wait a week... had high hopes the 38 would be enough.

Going to 92 helped a bit, 315 or so, little better top end. 90 up next. Richen needle one clip helped. Doesn’t cut out now part throttle. Will heat up a bit cruising on needle tho. One more clip rich is the last position and will hopefully do the trick.

Hey jayrod427 did you get your final jetting sorted out? I have a similar setup and just finished putting a Polini CP 17.5 on mine and currently trying to tune it. So far I have the stock 38 idle jet with needle at one clip rich and an 84 main jet but temps at WOT stay max 300 and I am not getting as high RPM and speed as stock carb so think I am still off. Started with 98 main and flooded my plug and have been going down from there but worried as 84 seems low compared to yours.

I’m not hardcore enough, or have the gear for the 30’s.
