With your mini files if you see some slag from a casting flaw in the transfer ports that is the only thing I clean up. A light Chamfering and polishing the exhaust port gives a added bonus of raising your final rpm potential by a few hundred rpms . The honda bond is a good sealer you can use that in place of copper spray. Hondabond yamabond 3 bond are good sealers Just use the minimum needed too many people think that some is good more must be better.
I use copper spray and the above sealers . The reed cage is a great place for Honda bond .

Funny you mentioned the reed cage.... the amount of oil on the sealing surface between it and the intake made me think that there had to be an air leak there.

How long do you guys let your gaskets seal after assembly, before starting the engine? I’m hoping to start assembling this evening.

So about 30 mins. LOL Copper spray doesn't need any time to setup. I didn't use any other sealants on the base gasket. Unless you get specific "for use around gasoline" sealants they are useless anyway.

That's good enough polished .
I just let things seal over night as a minimum rule . Most of the sealants in the directions have a 12 to 24 hour set up time .
Go slow putting it back together have a beer afterwards and then fire it up the next day .

Anyone yamabond the intake to reed block. There seemed to be a wetness when I removed the intake as if there could have been some fuel/oil leakage there. What do you lube other than the wristpin?

Oiling the piston an cylinder just delays the rings seating. They need friction to work with the cross hatching. Light mist of wd40 or the likes and wipe off excess just to ease assembly.

Looks good . Raising the needle a clip in the carb is often needed since you spend more time on the needle and when you come off the throttle wide open . Being a little rich helps also from you seizing on deceleration.
Be careful with those clips . I lost one the other night .

You should have seen me last night when the 2nd circlip got away from me...especially after I seen it and heard it but it was nowhere to be found!!! It wasn't under much tension my fingers were just full of lube (that doesn't sound right 🤭) it ended up just stuck to the spark plug boot...I won't say how many trips around the scoot I made....

I think the tiny spring is worse than the c-clip. Dropped it one time, and spent 5 mins staring at the floor beneath my feet before finding it a foot away from me.
