Thanks. I had the 85 in before but the needle clip was a notch lower. Now it’s up a notch to where it was stock. Do you think another notch up would be too lean? I was watching the temperature and it stays under 300 for the most part and riding getting on it hard hasn’t gone over 349, and it seems to drop the temp fairly fast with throttle change. My tach got condensation under the lens but I don’t think it’s revving past the low/mid 9s, from what I could see.

Just made a pass before I gotta head home on the little stretch of road from camper to cow farm....looks like WOT was about 9400 rpm

I take the richest needle that gives good throttle response for a safe daily rider .
If the middle one works for you and runs a notch cooler then wide open you are in the right range .
Here is a quick test for needles After your scooter is well warmed up and you come to a stop sign after a wide open long run. The rpms should drop down to the normal Idle range If they hang 400-500 rpms or so higher you most likely just need to go down a clip.

Went back to the stock pilot jet instead of moving the needle clip

Nice sounds like the carb it is dialed in real close . That's spinning up real nice high 9's is where that combo was running for me . The Malossi and Yasuni is a real nice combo . 53 mph without gears is really good tuning.
post up a sig line So you share your knowledge and results with the next guy .

I'll work on the sig line. Has anyone experienced blowing dash lamps after tuning. I just replaced the speedometer bulb for the 2nd time and also the fuel gauge bulb. They're LEDs and I'm wondering if the higher rpms are having something to do with it...I know there's a voltage regulator which you'd think would correct it if it is the RPMs.

Also the 53 mph is over the same stretch as before which has hills, not just flat. Before my best was 50 mph

I’m thinking my launch issues are to do with clutch not wanting to engage until about 4500rpm. I think I’ll go back to the white springs

Finally got to put the white clutch springs in, but made the mistake of screwing with the idle mixture screw instead of just trying the spring change....now getting some mid range sputter before getting to top end. Decided to bring it home where maybe I can tinker more during the week. Still blowing the LEDs in the dash.
