The bearings don't always stay on the crank. But are more likely to on Piaggio motors, than yamaha. from what I understand. This is why Piaggio sometimes suffer from the bearings spinning in the cases. I wouldn't use RTV. If you can't get Yamabond, unibond make a more readily available version. I have never seen a Piaggio motor without the support bearing.

well i got the case split , thr splittr i got was shit, is was at a freinds house who knows their shit and his harmonic puller for yamaha didnt fit so while i was flinching for fear i held it while my buddy took a brass hammer and just wacked it free quite easily assuring me that my crank would br fine. well the real issue all along that ended this engines life was a shaytered bearing i probably provided aall the metal i haf assumed was from a grate on a velocity stack.... the inner surface of were the bearing sits on the one bearing that came ofg with the crank looks beat the hell up ,the race seems ok will this be a problem to install bearings on this case as is?

Any lose I ordered a decent task Puller as well as a the configuration thing whatever it's called for pulling bearings off the crank both should be here sometime next Week and I actually went to where my dad sold cars for 10 years and bought a tube of Honda bond for the read write application of this baby Don't know if I mentioned it but yeah it was definitely a bearing gone badd that caused this failure what really bums me out is that I was 100% sure that 100% of all components came from Italy The case itself the cylinders than nuts the boats the seals the carbs turns out looking at the bearing that gave way I don't know if it's called slipped or not but basically a good portion of the steel balls on the inside were shattered into pieces and that side sealers slightly damaged of course but I have new pollini seals and new pollini bearings which brings me back to the point the bearings that were installed on this all italiener engine were from Taiwan? Yep that's right add the bearings been as good of quality as every other component I have a feeling this bike would have never done this in a million years I feel better knowing that it's not so much my crapy skills as much as it is the manufacturers crapy skills hopefully I get it put back together for the final time of the century and ride off into the sunset....

So I was able to remove the bearing from the case as well as the seals only problem now is that the bearing puller I ordered for the Bering still attached to the crank was apparently too small and no auto parts store has a one that though will loan me it seems is there any suggestions for how I may get this Bearing off unconventional methods welcome...

hey thanks man im not sure that the puller will fit or if the bolts will be long enogh, the one in the link you brlieve will work? only reason i ask is because the long variator arm on the side that has bearing is longer than most

Bolts will likely be too short, buy a stick of all thread rod that fits the bearing threads and make it as long as you want..Most auto stores have those pullers for rent too...

Wow it's been a long time since I've updated this post I just have to get off of my chest what had just happened... But 1st of all I have to catch you guys up with a lot that has happened, Long story short I had success with the crank and the bearings and the seals and and was pleased with my results However The cylinder had to be It reinstalled because I had no proper base gaskets in the base gaskets or lack thereof caused a Leak Finally found the right gaskets had the order them direct from malossi, Fix that problem but while I was putting back on the head I had it upside down the the modular part and when I was trying to talk down the outer cover of the water jacket there was grooves that weren't working because The head was turned either 90゚ or a 180゚ off Ended up cracking the water jacket get JB welded it got it working fine then decided to buy a new one and a new head this has been like the last 6 months been writing it since then for about a month and then today some Idiot ran into me and I rolled roughly I don't know 50' luckily no broken bones but the worst road rash of my fucking life I don't think I've seen rude rush this bad. Lucky to be Other than that pretty much uninjured I waved at the fucking dude as I was passing by and the guy said he still didn't see me he was an army Persian with thick glasses that I have a feeling had something to do with him not seeing me in broad daylight And I was honestly going within 5 miles an hour of the speed limit which was 35. The worst part is the cops were about to take my moped because they couldn't fucking find the Vin on the block So I hobbled out the ambulance to show them And I ended up getting a fucking ticket because my license plate wasn't installed the the guy who hit me asked if there was anything he could do and I said well bro could you at least put your moped in your truck since you have one and bring it back to my house because I figured I was going to the hospital. I ended up not going to the hospital because I decided that there wasn't any broken bones that I could tell and it was just really bad road rush and it's not like they were gonna GiveAny painkillers painkillers and I probably catch covid even though I'm vaccinated it is there has been a shit lot of cases recently and the ambulance said that they couldn't be accepted at Queen's West which was right by my house and they never told me but I'm sure the reason was because there was too many covid patients there they said it was just because it was too crowded browded but that side of the island is where covid is really bad So here I am at my house at my house fucking sore as a bitch luckily my dad had my neighbor bring back my moped.... So I guess I'm lucky to be relatively unscathed And to still have my bike Oh yeah and I had just fixed these panels from getting smashed this time it was my fault from the throttle getting stuck half open so this bike has tried to kill me 3 times and it has succeeded 0.
