chinese 50cc air cooled 2 stroke
my scooter isnt revving above 7k rpm even on a kickstand
3g roller weights (belt isnt moving all the way up, has 3-4mm travel left) gps speed reads at EXACTLY 60kmph/ 37mph , stock cvt setup , things ive tried:
- various exhausts, giannelli reverse, yasuni r, s6 pro replica, yasuni r and yasuni z
- 17.5 mm delorto carb and 21mm carb . reverted back to 12mm stock one as i saw no performance change and the 7k rpm limit is still there
-6 different cdi's
- revving it on kickstand

Does the engine break up when it is at 7000rpm? When looking at you're tachometer is it exactly at the 7000rpm eveytime? If you can post a video of this issue.

Does it rev cleanly to 7K, then die? Or just stop, and will not rev any more? Is the slide on the carb opening all the way?

Is the slide on the carb opening all the way? nope it just doesnt rev above 7k, and yes its opening all the way up, ive tried 2 different carbs 17.5mm and 21mm. ive tried different cdi units, no restriction washer in the cvt yet 3-4mm belt travel remaining. edit: speedometar as well as the gps one also show it goes only flat 60kmph/37mph, not 1 kmh or mph more its not a odd number, a flat 60. pictures: imgur.com/a/1i5NGWkbaotian bt 49 qt 28c engine.

Ok it's defiantly restricted. Have you removed the restriction wire coming from the transmission casing? This wire allows the cdi to monitor the actually rear wheel speed. It will then retard the ignition. Limiting the speed.

yep ive checked there, nothing. wouldnt that limit the speed rather than the rpm? because it can go 37mph with 5/6 throttle but also goes 37mph with 6/6 throttle,

I see you've tried 6 different cdi's so that, unless they've all been identical, kind of removes the idea of a rev limiter.
Does it have a restriction plate between the intake and reed block?
Have you tried a new coil? In the past year both my RT-50 and my MB5 developed annoying issues with not revving out and in both cases it turned out to be a bad coil.
How about your stator? It's possible the coils in it are failing causing the signal to break up too.

And I see you tried lots of pipes.... Is this still a stock cylinder? It may just be the stock porting is a natural limiter.

You can take you're drive belt off, put it on kickstand and rev it up. If you hear the engine rapidly cutting out and doesn't rev over 7k, it is electronically restricted by you're cdi. If it does rev past 7k while on kickstand its most likely you're variator.

Wohoooo!! Finally guys I got this beast's power released! I installed a POLINI Hi-Speed Variator and Polini Air Speed Var. Pulley! Also POLINI BLUE clutch springs added for engaging at more RPM! I am getting the real power of the scoot and cruise speeds are really better. Also the "hole" thing was caused because of my polini belt, it was 1mm bigger than the one that fits now. Alright so I got a very good start and with full throttle it revs to about 8000 rpm and then "calms" down to normal rpm but accelerates continiously. I got a vmax of 85kmh on my scoot tacho but I discovered that it gives me unreal stats (-10kmh) I proved this with GPS on my phone and I got a vmax of 92kmh. I am very happy with the results I got. Cruise speeds are good at around 55kmh on 6300rpm. The engaging is a little bit too powerful because it start pulling right straight off where the kit has it's full potential and power. I will try to get used to it because I already spent a lot of money on my bikey, now I am looking forward on making it look even better. More pictures comming soon after I do some customizations. Also if you're interested I can record an acceleration video

Also if you're interested I can record an acceleration video im gonna try a new variator then, still seems sketchy how accurately it stops at 7k and 37mph but ill give it a go thank you
