Today was start putting bits on see if I have power. Spent an hour trying to suss out a bit of loom. Mechanic came back undid a few things and threw it away saying not needed. Turns out he had put it on my loom months ago, it was from his range rover. Still now have indicators , panel lights ,fuel gauge , starter solenoid clicks, just need spark and starter to turn now. Plus drilled hole to get to plug easier.

Sussed out the no starter turning was earth between engine and chassis wire not connected. Just need to sort out why no spark now. Put a shout out for a wiring loom on Facebook Vespa et4 page and a chap sending me one free of charge, turn's out I sent him some emissions stuff a while ago for free. 🙂

It now runs, not at full revs but ticks over nicely and a little bit above. Think I need to set the transponder in the key with the master key. That'll happen when get chance tomorrow.

This morning I am going to program the blue key with the red key. I have looked on various forums and it either really easy or a pain. Wish me luck😊

Well tried programming the blue key to red no joy though. Did notice no led light flashing at all, wonder if that has any bearing on the system? Managed to bleed brakes and put on and do lots of other little things though

Sounds like an immobilizer problem. Either the antaenae is broken or the wire is bad. There are CDI's for these that don't need the immobilizer. I have a good antennae I think that would handle it. Let me know and I'll throw it in the box I'm building for you.

Well I bit the bullet and ordered a immobiliser bypass unit for it.

It's seems like that aeroxbud but it maybe a mistake on my part we will see when I get time 😝 Today the bypass unit arrived and there is no change so that shows it's not the secondhand immobilizer, antenna and key set I picked up so maybe carb or timing so tonight I shall check Haynes manual for bedtime reading and check timing first then go from there. Immobilizer is on it's way back in the post tomorrow that's £50 saved.

At least you got to rule some components out.

At least you got to rule some components out. Indeed just time to be methodical in my approach now....hopefully 😊
