Did you take the tiny spring off of the pin that goes through the slide? That pin has a groove that the springs sets in and acts as a retainer to keep the pin from coming out.

So update time! Finally got the jets in and installed... Currently tunning the stock carb with the 84 main jet and a 46 pilot jet... Ran a tank and a half thru the little monster! Still just have the stock pipe on but managed to squeak out a little more than 52 mphs! So tomorrow im going to take the head off to remove the gasket i originally installed amd go for the copper spray gasket to reduce the squish followed by installing the carbon fiber reeds and a leak down test... If all goes well then ill slap on yasuni R pipe to see what she got... Bwahahaaha... Thanks for all the help you guys have given me!

So I need some help.... finished wiring up the trail tech vapor....tied into the horn hot line and grounded it into the heat sink that’s by the horn... at first I accidentally tied into the blinker assembly but now I have no head lights or dash lights or head lights... the blinkers and blinker indicator works as well as the low oil light but no head lights or light indicator and motor isn’t starting some I’m guessing something came loose? Any ideas as to where to start to trace this down... horn still works... blinkers work running light works just no headlights and motor not starting... maybe bad ground? Thanks for any help in advance guys

I have no experience with the TrailTech Vapor, but back to your jetting. I ran a similar kit on my 05 Zuma with the stock Teikei carb and an 88 Main was my sweet spot, temps spot on and ran like a scalded cat.

Got it all sorted... Only thing i havent done was run the cable and what have you for the speedo... Slapped on the yasuni R pipe amd was having some issues... I havent touched anything yet in the cvt so the motor would run up and then when the variator kicked in it would slug at like 25 mph at 5k rpms and never wanna get up past it... When it did get up past that hurdle she really lit up at about 9k. Put a smile on my face but since i didnt have any cvt stuff on hand i put the stock exhaust back on. Now im gonna order the med and hard clutch springs as well as i have some tuning weights from another 139 qmb build (4.5g,5.5g,6g) I think they are the same size.. Ill source the next two sizes up in jets too as she has gotten hot from time to time. When i take the cvt apart ill see what the previous owner has done and update!

5000 rpms sounds right for where the clutch should engage with that pipe . Most medium springs will get you above that . Since you have a tach the That pipe likes weights that put it between 8500-9400 rpm.
With Genuine mikuni Jets just like Matty I found 87 to 90 was a good range for safety and power 85 was going lean 95 was going too rich
