Hello everybody.
So I recently bought a new kymko agility 125cc and sold my wolf Rx-50. The owner I bought it from had it sitting for a long time. When I went to purchase it the bike would not start, so I hauled it home and gave the carby A good deep cleaning. The battery was garbage So I replaced it with another new one from Amazon. I replaced the Fuel lines and put in a new fuel filter, took the mouse nest out of the air filter and cleaned the air intake Now for some reason when I go to start the bike it cranks but does not Startup. I removed the sparkplug and grounded the plug to the valve cover and discovered that I have no spark, If I crank the engine long enough the plug gets soaked with unburnt fuel.
Tests I have completed: Tested the spark plug wire and boot and have got continuity Tested the pickup wire from the stater and have got good continuity Replaced with new battery Cleaned the carb Multiple times and have drained and refilled the gas tank with Fresh gas Checked the valve clearance, valve clearance is set at .004 for intake and .005 for exhaust.
Im having second thoughts on the CDI module, when I turn on the engine the CDI starts to make a faint quick buzzing sound ( almost sounds like a gnat flying in your ear) Could the CDI be the culprit?
I Know Kymko uses a DC CDI compared to the Chinese bikes, those use Ac.
Another thing I forgot to mention is that sometimes when I am cranking the engine it will start for a split second second and then Die on me.

have you checked the voltage regulator/rectifier?

At a glance it appears your CDI numbers are off the chart... not even close. You DID disconnect it from the wiring when you measured across the terminals, right? If not, do that, and re-measure. Also check that the handlebar KILL switch is not removing power from the CDI now and again. If flaky, the CDI won't produce the power to energize the coil, and may not respond to the signal from the flywheel pickup to 'fire'. I would get a schematic showing the inputs(outputs) to/from the CDI and check that power and ground are good, and perhaps put a VOM across the flywheel trigger signal while cranking. I first thought of a kickstand kill switch, or some have a seat kill, so it won't start/run with the kickstand down or the seat unlatched. Make sure you don't have that situation. Given the noise the CDI makes, it would be my first suspect. I have a Kymco Super 9, and the CDI is noiseless, just in case that helps. If the thing has been exposed to rain, getting down into the terminals on the CDI, it's possible the slight sizzle sound is water buzzing with electrical power.?.? Turn over to drain the H2O, and then blow dry with a heat gun/hair dryer??? One thing you could also try is powering or operating the coil manually. If you apply 12v to one side of the coil, and ground to the other, when you disconnect power OR ground, the coil should snap out a spark. All coils should do that, even if they never met a CDI. Do not connect a direct short, so disconnect the other wire, whichever you are going to fiddle with. If one side is grounded directly, disconnect the other for 12V to be applied and removed. And so on. tom
