Standard? It’s whatever Bando belt was in my goodie box. I’ve noticed though that the belt is not returning to the high/outside of the torque driver though during my screw around carb testing this week. It locks at the center of the TD. Not quite sure why. Never had this issue with the other belt. It’s quite possible that there is chunks of fiber and gunk lodged inside the spring of the driver. I’m gonna have to investigate it further.

So it just stays lodged at the small end? Oh that is funky. Are you running a heavier spring that could be pinching it, maybe too much pressure?

Yes I am running a heavier spring however it never got wedged in high gear with prior belt. My current belt may be too wide? I’d think that the spin of the pulley with the front unloaded it would wedge out of the center. It’s not the case though. Imma gonna have to take a looky look and see whatzup

Yeah, man. Like you said there might be some gunk hiding out in there that's binding up the works.

So I’m playing with carb settings. Got idle about right. Seems to ride ok. But……once in awhile the idle goes up from 3k to 4K+ and I’ve discovered it WILL NOT SHUT OFF! Yup, kill switch, key switch, both, won’t die. Maybe it just wanted to keep going? If I blip the throttle and the idle falls back to where it typically is it’ll shut down. I have not pulled the plug to see if the tip is getting overheated. I suspect the spark plug is glow plugging? I really don’t think my compression is high enough for dieseling. Weird man.

That video comes up private, did you get the exhaust to seal? I always struggle with that job i normally solve it by fitting the flange to cyl and bodging the mounting.

So it's going into runaway? That sounds like a possible air leak. Did you do a leak test on it?

I've never observed it personally, but I have read that a runaway can override the Killswitch. If the plug gets super hot, then it can just keep on bangin. Sometimes stop is to crank throttle, or kill the air supply.
Are you sure there isn't anything binding up the throttle cable? Maybe holding it open?

If its running after the Kill Switch and key is turned off Its still hot and your High Compression might be keeping it running.
Maybe your Squish is Too Tight. Most of The Sport Kits Need to be above .7
Are you running premium gas ?
Any Silver Speckles on your Plug . It would look like pepper on the center electrode .

I've only had this happen once. The engine ran on for about 10 seconds after trying to shut it off. That was a 90cc with something like 240psi of compression and a 50-70cc pipe; right after I ran it WOT for a bit.
An air leak could contribute by causing things to heat up, but it shouldn't be the sole source of problems. A lot of heat or hot spot and high compression would be places to look. Definitely verify that the kill switch and ignition switch operate properly, just to be sure.
