started on second kick while in slippers. I let it warm a little then shut it off. After work I’ll retorque the head and reassemble the air shroud etc.

In June ‘21 I got a two-pack of Polini cylinders from Mr. Ott. One was used which I successfully ran for a year and there was a brand new one also. The outer packaging says 1.66.0076/R and I’ll assume that’s what was in it. Ryan said it was a Corsa cylinder kit. I’m going to do my level headed best to run this one at least a year.
I have my heart set on a stage6 MK2 cylinder with new HPC Crank so we’ll see what Santa brings.
I’ll most likely wind up with a new flat top electric range instead.

The larger diameter front variator is rubbing the cover at full scoot. Make that was rubbing the cover. Gotta take it easy on the new block though. No high speed segments until 100 miles goes by at least.

Temps seem to be ok but today I had a soft seize. Long uphill WOT runs it acts as though it runs out of fuel. Would a sustained WOT condition lead to the vacuum petcock closing? I just don’t think upjetting will solve it.
I’m gonna try it and see because I have jets here but no OG’s in my garage to point and say, “Have you tried____ yet?”

This doesn't seem to be the kind of scoot that you're wringing every drop of power out of. If jetting was indeed the culprit, a 79 or 80 would leave you right on the edge... and cooler drier air is in the somewhat near future. I toss out vacuum petcocks on my scoots because I don't trust them. Not necessarily because of WOT issues, but I've had them fail and I've never had a manual shutoff fail. I have heard others complain that they had WOT problems with vac units, but I've never experienced it. Manual valves are less convenient, but there are many shutoffs out there and something that mounts to the frame or fairing is quick enough to switch on and off. Mower shops or lawn and garden sections in hardware stores frequently carry the briggs 1/4" type like I use if you wanna try one without waiting on shipping. I put a zip tie on each side of mine so it's pretty snug to the frame and can be operated with one hand instead of having to hold it still while switching it on or off.

I ran the 78 jet all winter last year with the old used Corsa jug. Never had an issue. I’m wondering if it’s a fuel flow issue. 🤷♂️

I ran the 78 jet all winter last year with the old used Corsa jug. Never had an issue. I’m wondering if it’s a fuel flow issue. 🤷♂️ If you wanna try a flow test, I was getting 375-450ml of fuel transfer in 30 seconds. Depends on the exact combo. This wouldn't tell you what was happening at WOT for sure, but if you keep a vacuum applied you could get a sort of best case flow rate. You shouldn't have to be too precise and you shouldn't need that much flow. I was getting about 150ml at best in 30 seconds when I had 3/16" on the outlet of my filter and 1/4" on the inlet and that was enough for a 28mm carb with a ~150 main jet. Ryan said he got 175ml in 30 seconds and he's got a big 34mm carb and larger jetting with all 3/16" hose and no filter other than the in tank screen. If you can consistently get 150ml in 30 seconds, it's probably plenty based on this info. FYI my setup is 2.5 gallon tank with 1/4" barb, 1/4" tygon, 1/4" briggs shutoff, 3/16" tygon, 3/16" or 1/4" filter, 3/16" to carb. Use the same size fuel hose before and after the fuel filter! That was way more important than I would have imagined with some types of filters.

Dont know if anyone has hooked up a vacuum gauge to an intake on a similar 2stroke and run it full throttle with a 70cc kit,,bet it reads close to zero, thus the vac petcock starts to close off...Manual petcocks dont care!!!

I’m inclined to believe you 190, I have a simple foam pod filter and a 19mm Dell phbg. I don’t know how many inches of vacuum is required to maintain “open” on the petcocks but the sustained WOT through an open pipe has to be minimal.

250ml/30seconds At that rate I’d run outta fuel in a very short time. I’d say it’s not blocked. I’m gonna go with the LOSS (Lack Of Suction Supply) theory where my WOT is causing the petcock to shut down.

I’m going to attempt to install a 14mm thread petcock. I’ll have one ordered later today.
