Hello everyone, I am new to this site. I have used the site but this is the first time I am posting anything. I bought a 2004 Vento Triton R4 about 3 months ago. This is the 1st scooter I have owned. The previous owner said it had a 50cc engine but he replaced with a BBK. He couldn't remember what size he had gone up to though. It ran fine and would get up to 50-55 mph. It didn't always idle great and it he had removed the airbox. The other day I was riding and it bogged down and cut off. I could never get it to crank back up. It would only make the clicking noise at the starter relay. I put in a new relay and it stopped clicking. Now when I push the start button, it just acts like it wants to turn over, but never does. I unplugged the ignition coil and checked for a spark but never got one. So I replaced that coil and also put in a new spark plug, but still I get no spark. The battery, the starter motor, the cdi box, are all good. I have also cleaned the carb, and changed out the peacock on the gas tank. What else can I do to get spark? I have tried everything I can think of and I have read several different posts on this forum and others. Thank you for any help.

Do you go through Brents no start steps? 49ccscoot.proboards.com/thread/647?page=1 this should help you. When you have any issues there is a directory on the left in the floating menu that probably has the answer.

It should still turn over, even with no spark. If you kick it, does it turn over ok? This might help

When I had a no spark issue Brent suggested the kill switch circuit and low and behold I found a rusted out relay. You scoot is simpler kill switch circuit so it should'nt be as hard to find.
