This was a pic when I first bought off my buddy was not running due to vacuum line being disconnected.
I did respray the plastic to bring the black back to life
Top speed 35 MPH!!
I modified the rear turn signals and license plate light (license light was already broken off and not function from previous owner)
I reused the existing bulbs just cut off the metal flashing around the bulb and used drill bit slightly smaller then the back of the bulb so it would be a tight fit/also cut and rewired for turn signals.
For the license plate light I went to my local auto store and found these led lights for motorcycles and wired them up.
List of the parts that I bought and in order in which I installed them
- Athenna 70cc big bore kit (Amazon)
- Dellorto 17.5 carb/ electric choke(drowsports)
- Malossi "multivar" Variator Minarelli Kit (scooterswapshop)
- Yasuni R exhaust (scooterswapshop)
- MICHELIN Bopper tires (Amazon)
- NCY clutch springs 1500 (scooterswapshop)
- Motoforce shock 280mm (scooterswapshop)
Installing the BBK and Carb I was pushing on average around 45 Mph which I was happy with for around town.
but I have recently moved and live a little farther from town then before and some roads are 50 Mph. I hated the feeling of either holding everyone up/ the feeling someone was going to run me over.
After a lot of help from people on this forum I bought the Variator and exhaust. I installed both at the same time and was literally blown away on the difference that it made. My top speed as been 62 Mph!! that is tucked in but still gnarly!
but on average I'm around 55-58 depending on the weather.
The tires made a big difference also especially when cruising at those speeds and I believe gave another 1-2 Mph.
Replaced the rear shock because the other one blew my back out lol, only had it for a few weeks now but I like it.
Last added some Led strips I found on sale at the auto stored and hardwired them to the battery so they could be left on without having the key in them.
only problem I'm having is if I let off the throttle and drop speed then go back to WOT its very slow to pick speed back up
ps I know this is a brief description of everything iv done but if anyone was questions feel free to message me.
