Hi, I'm looking into building my 2004 Super 9 LC, (LQ Minarelli Clone w/ some variations) and I'm considering using a Stage 6 Pro Replica Street Race kit, because I want a kit more suited for lower rpm, for longevity reasons. does anyone know if the 12mm stage 6 kit will fit on the super 9. or if it needs some modifications. Thanks!

To be honest. The stage 6 street race kit is the most high reving of all the sports kits. It likes a good exhaust to get the most out of it. You might be better looking at a Malossi or Polini sport for a lower rpm kit. They will be good for thousands of miles with no problem. Don't get me wrong. If you want a street race, they are a great kit. I had one. But unless you really want to buy a good exhaust to match it. You will never get the most from it. And might as well buy a cheaper Malossi or Polini kit.

Hi, I have a Leovince ZX Racing Exhaust, I chose the Stage 6, because I know the RPM range is close to the Leovince I have.

Thanks Steve, I think Ill get the Malossi sport then, What would you recommend for carb / jetting? worth getting a new carb or will stock carb work just as good, if not how much performance is lost.

That would be much better suited to the ZX. The stage 6 likes to rev to 11,000. Well past what the ZX will do. My stock carb was a Dellorto 12mm. It really made a big difference to the top end power going to a 17.5mm. You can quite happily run a sport kit on a stock carb if you want though.

What would you recommend for ballpark jetting on the OEM carb and the 17.5 carb?

I don't know what carb you have. But start around 10% bigger. It can vary from bike to bike. On my Aerox with 17.5 and the stage 6 I was running I think 90. On my Polini sport in using an 82. If you start with a 90+ you will be rich.then work down.
