Compliments of Aeroxbud 49ccscoot.proboards.com/thread/420 you can play around with these in combination with the new shocks or old shocks to get different heights as well.

So new rear shocks dropped the rear a little. Now I'd like to see if lowering the front a similar amount would do more. I didn't see anything in the files. Maybe once I get the plastic parts off I'll be able to see if it's even possible on the Ice Bear.

I have dropped the front on lots of motorcycles. And scooters are very similar. Just one of two bolts. Give the legs a good clean first. And it will be easier to do them separately, with the wheel off. Just make sure you have full lock, without any interference.

"Just make sure you have full lock, without any interference" Don't understand FULL LOCK. Is that referring to the handlebar lock?

Full lock is the full range of movement. From right to left without catching, or anything limiting the travel.

Thanks again. I want to lower the front somewhere around 1/2 to 1 inch (12-25mm) IS there an adjustment on the triple tree?

I wouldn't go more than 1/2 an inch. When you lower the tubes through the yoke it speeds up steering. All of my Yamaha scooters have one bolt that holds the tube on each side. You just undo this and the tube slides out. My Piaggio has two bolts that fix the tubes. You might not be able to lower these. As the top bolt fits into a grove on the fork. You could fit smaller springs to get the same affect.

Thanks. I still need to pull off the plastic parts. Assuming I can't move the tubes, I could easily cut the existing springs with my hand grinder. Maybe a crappy way of lowering but how far would I cut?

It's always better to have to cut more off than cutting to much.

It's always better to have to cut more off than cutting to much. Aeroxbud has not had his morning coffee yet. He meant it is always better to have cut less than to cut too much

Tried to bring up photos from a slew of possibilities. THE front shock mounts are visible. They're held in place by two 12mm bolts. What happens when I pull the bolts off? I worry that tension from the springs is going to shoot the tubes into the roof.
