I was looking to swap out the 19mm PHBG of my Suzuki for one of the black "racing" edition versions, but I realized that a NZ$60 premium wasn't worth it just for a coat of paint, and I still have to add the AU bushing, atomizer, 40 slide etc to it. Came across the PHBG BD which comes with the AU parts and a 40 slide already fitted along with a float bowl with the cap to change jets quick and even better for my application the idle and mix screws are on the opposite side to normal. But they don't have the oil fitting on them, would I be correct in thinking that the hole where the idle screw would normally be should be the right size to press in an oil nipple if I drilled the end open?

Yes that is where they put them.

Sweet, will order a carb soon. I just wasn't sure if it's the same diameter as normal, I haven't been able to find any PHBG BD variants with an oil feed at all.

Not sure if you would be able to. But most buy a manifold with oil and vacuum fittings. Or put a fitting on to the manifold.

Buying a manifold isn't really an option, it's for my Suzuki A50 project and the manifold is part of the engine cover, might be able to drill and tap it for a fitting though but that's riskier than drilling a carb. Took a few days, but I got an email back from Dellorto UK and they confirmed it's just a case of drilling a 2.5-3mm hole through and tapping one of these in place

Bit the bullet and ordered a PHBG BD from Treatland, and since the only places I could find with the oil fitting was in the UK* and had cheap Dellorto parts along with reasonable flat rate international shipping I also ended up ordering the atomizer/bush/slide etc to convert my current one to 2t specs *not worth the time to turn my own fitting when they were only about $2 each and under $20 for shipping.

Had to drill the 2.5mm hole as expected, but also had to drill out the larger part of the hole too. It was a hair under 4.4mm and the fitting was 5mm.
