Hello, I recently bought a brand new Kymco X-town 125cc. So far so good until I got this "kcock/clunk" after 2000 miles in the final gearbox comming from one or more of the gears(I think). I can notice the sound only when the scooter is warm enough and short acceleration at very low speeds. I took off the cover of the gears and I didn't found anything wrong there and just for safety I replaced the bearings for all the gears and nothing. When it's cold there is no sound but after a few miles when the oil gets warm it makes a short knock anytyme after I push the throttle at low speed after any engine brake (So if I let the engine comes down from 5000rpm for example and I push the throttle that's the moment when I hear a clunk but it doesn t matter the rpm) sometimes I her the cluck even on take off....probably the sound is there at high speeds but I couldn t hear anything, just between 10 and 20 mph. I wanted to order the gears but I m not sure if this is normal on some scoots or not. Here are some pictures with the gears.Thank you in advance!

You should call the dealer you got it from, because it comes standard with a 2 year factory warranty parts and labor. Once you tear into it they can void you're warranty.

I know but in my country I have no warranty because it was purchased from another country and not to mention the fact that I went to the dealer to inspect that and he put the belt after he finished backwards. Thank you anyway for your answer!

You can try to take off the rear cvt cover and while the scooter is on the kickstand rev it up while watching and see if you can see anything like the clutch or belt slap. Post a video if you can with the cover off and the noise.

On the center stand I can't catch anything on camera. I will try to record something if I can in a shop parking.

I m suspecting that the middle gear moves in and out in the bearings when it gets warm and the case is expanding or the gears themselves make that clunk when they get engaged on acceleration.
