So I got it fixed nice and running pretty fast.
But I have gear oil leaking out somewhere else besides the drain plug and the filler plug. I can't find a good diagram to try and figure it out for myself. I'm not sure if it's overflow releasing because I maybe put too much in, or if it's coming out of a seal that I need to replace

After I let it cool I turned the wheel at the rear a little bit and I see an overflow tube that is wet on the bottom exit point of it. I may have answered my own question

They are not like a car where you fill it up, till it comes out. You need to put in a specific amount. Normally it tells you how much by the filler.

So would it be possible that the fluid is coming out of there accidentally because of my overfill issue?

yes it's possible, but should never be happening unless you waaaaay over filled you're gear oil.
